  1. Good day out at Stoneleigh yesterday. Well done to all involved, the stand and car presentation was impressive. Very good turn out of members cars as well. Thanks for the hospitality. Glad to see and hear Scotts car running last night, well done all involved.

  2. A fantastic effort, a great result, and as usual, the best club put on the best event - my grateful thanks as the outgoing chairman to the Stoneleigh organising team and all our volunteers for the best show I have ever attended - well done to you all!

  3. Huge thanks to everyone who donned a blue tee and got on with the weekend. It was as slick as I've ever seen it and of course very impressive from all angles as ever. Special mention to this year's organising team @Trevturtle, @marcusb and @Stuart Faulkner - Shows & Events Coordinator for putting on a great show and organising all the show kit. You made it look easy, I know it isn't - thank you.

  4. As has already been said a great show and fantastic effort by all involved. We don't get enough opportunities to all get together and meet friends old and new ! The team also worked hard in hall 2 drumming up not just potential new speed series entrants but new club members as well ! Free food and drink for volunteers was a perfect thank you, thank you and I apologise if I had more than my fair share on Saturday night Look forward to doing it all again next year

  5. Great weekend. Got home at 7o'clock tonight, tent hung out to dry and a shower for me to warm my feet after walking around all day in wet trainers. Can't wait to get into a comfy bed and get a good nights sleep and not be woken up with the Chinese water torture I had last night in my tent. Would I do it all again next year? You bet I would. When is it? And to all those who didn't come, come next year and lets get 200 cars on the pitch.

  7. Everything went very smooth for the North West convoy down to Stoneleigh..no hiccups the slow down at Sandbach and drive throughs at Stafford and Hilton Park went to plan, I think we had about 18 cars this year ?and I don't think we lost anybody en route , 1 small hard shoulder incident Giles pulled off to remove a Pampers bag stuck over his grill and slipped and finished up on his A*** just wish I could of got a photo.(new nickname Huggie) Thanks to Paul Gibney for taking the lead. 8. I think the Factory, the drift cars and our club do a great job all round and there was public interest in Scott's car upgrade. So Westfield is fine. I think the parts people are suffering from eBay inevitably but there are more three things that need fixing. They are the other manufacturers, the pricing (probably) and the format of the show generally - it needs an upgrade IMO. I had a great time though - got some bits I wanted and really enjoyed catching up with old mates (oh yes and the beer and barbeque too). Big thanks to everyone who worked so hard at getting it to happen!

  15. I had a fantastic three days as a volunteer. Muchly Muchly TA ALL, especially main organisers! Westfields, Great food, beer and people - what more could one want! Great Marquee as usual, with open sides making it more inviting and accesable. The video/photo show a great new touch. Scott leaving with a working engine. An 'Upgrade' would work as a regular feature imo. I especially feel the Speed Series presence was best I've ever seen and far more inviting to potential newbies, so we'll done @John Williams - WSCC Competition Secretary & SS team.

  18. I echo Andy's thoughts above. It was a great show this year, the weather on Sunday certainly helped. Always good to catch up with familiar faces, and hope to see some of them at Blyton in July.

  20. Yes great showing and effort by all of the WSCC crew as usual. Stand out for me this year were.. Dave and Mike working solidly on the Chairman's car The videos in the hall showing speed series runs always seem to have a little crowd watching and Martin, Graham, Panda and others seemed to be talking to lots of new possible competitors. Looked like a huge effort again from Cleggy and his team to put on a great choice of clothing. Seems to be more choice each year. The green FW400 looked lovely I thought that the show itself was quieter than usual. A few regulars such as Hamilton classic I didn't see. Nothing stood out as new other than the awful boxster / 911 creations and I see a new name was continuing the Dax Rush. I did like the motorised shed outside though ;-) I do always spend more time ogling over the Cobras than I should .... one year I may be tempted. David

  26. Yep ditto - We went on the Saturday, weather held out. Great show and we thought the WSCC stand was the best supported club by a mile, sad to see some stands totally empty and only one or two on others. Didn't realise there was free drinks ?

  32. Folks, On the off-chance that you've passed them by, the regs and entry forms for Pembrey can be found here . I noted the following in the regs; 'On both days, the start and finish lines will be as normal. Saturday the course will be entirely as previous years. Sunday will use the new much talked of new Course. ' This is noteworthy for Tigger, Tel and all others involved in calculating scores (apologies if you were already aware). This in car video of a Caterham race earlier in the year demonstrates the new layout; I'm looking forward to trying it. Cheers, Simon
