Hi all, I knew at the time I could of asked more for the car, but I know how much I put into the car and the price it went for I think was an good deal for both the buyer and me. If I had of spent ££££ getting everything from Westfield then yeah I would of needed to put more on it to try and recoup as much as possible but I didn't. As stated before on here, I scoured the classfields/ebay/for sales sections for lots of stuff and got some really good bargains. There were other reasons for the price too - I needed to get the car shifted from its current home as it was going to have to spent more and more time outside as the garage was being used for other things and mine has another car being worked on. A builder always knows in the back of his mind how much his car is worth and I can honestly say that if I would have put it up for another £800 I think I would of been pushing it, maybe that's not the opinion of other SDV builders but that's life - I'm not going to try and sell the car for more than I think it is worth. Finally I knew that the buyer was a dealer, or associated to people who bought/sold kit cars before I sold it so I didn't really come as a surprise to see it on pistonheads, but I hope whoever ends up with it will be happy with it - I was and still am as I have the money I wanted for it!2 points

I bought circa £20 of parts last Month to fix my mud flaps on with from East Ccoasst Fibre glass. Parts arrived correctly on time and I've used them. Yesterday they sent an email saying they're issued a full refund. Followed shortly by a PayPal refund! I replied toto their email with a simple, "Why" Here's their answer: Hi Ian, Apologies for the confusion. We were testing our order software yesterday and one of the team inadvertently refunded your order instead of a test order! If this was a big order we would be in the awkward position of asking you to pay again, but as it is - Enjoy your free goods! Geoffrey, Sadly I missed your Scottish trip this year, but three of the Wirral and North Wales crew managed four days in September. We stayed in Fort Augustus, Lochinver, Durness and Fort William. Great time, great roads, we did the Glenelg ferry to Skye, what an experience. Also the "wee mad road" from Ullapool to Lochinver. Didn't realise my Westie could go so far between petrol stations! Next year we have booked the 11th to the 15th of June so again we won't be able to join up with you, sorry. Following your posts with interest though. Keep up the good work. John.1 point

Before I fitted I'd contemplated getting an aluminium ring with threaded holes welded to the top of the tank to avoid unnecessary holes. But went with the closed end rivnuts and it was fine. Just beware of flushing the tank if you do drill it to get all the swarf out.1 point

Here you go chaps. This is the funicular. If you turn up your volume then you can hear the commentary. What I found surprising was that if you went up the funicular then you could not walk on the mountain as you had not earned the right. Nice museum to the mountains at the top with a good cafe.1 point

I can understand how Maurici feels after the poor organisation, communication & running of the event robbed me of my second timed run on Sunday. What a disappointing and frustrating way to end the weekend. It's a real shame he's so upset though, it does take some of the joy away, it's sad that it had to end that way. But as has been said by others, it's about the season, not just one event. But it was still a decent weekend with a nice bit of celebrating, a revisiting of my dinner or two and a lovely warm spot for an evening kip, so who am I to complain?? Just to clear up a couple of points though - I may not need to do this but as it's been published on the forum I feel compelled - I had three runs for T2 on Saturday, not five. The second two were at least 10 mins after the first as I'd already returned to the garage and got out of the car. The track was drying, but my last run took place before Maurici's timed run, so it was on the same track with potentially drier conditions for him, and the benefit of his own hired pit babe warming his tyres So in reality, pretty equal conditions. The benefit I had was getting a "sighting" lap, although not at much pace since I caught the car in front at Peel. While I do fully understand Maurici's frustration and I feel really upset that he's been caused so much anguish by this, as Nick has said, anything could have happened to me on my run - it was still down to me to drive that lap at that pace in those conditions. I don't doubt for a second that had Tim, Richie, Terry, Del, Garry, Matt, Dave etc etc had the opportunity to go after Maurici, they'd have put slicks on & they'd have gone much quicker, but LDMC only managed to give us 3 runs, so that was all we got. Really grateful to everyone for their kind comments and support, now and throughout the season, the advice has been free flowing & I've done my best to listen & apply as much of it as I can. You're a great bunch! I hope we get more competitors next year, I'm not sure what I will do yet and there's a chance I may not be out at all, but I hope to be if I can. See you all at the awards do!1 point

Oi Hurdsey... I thought you said traffic was bad in Monaco? I was 800 meters east of the tunnel entrance when you went through. If you'd have turned left instead of right you were 2 mins from café au lait and a very nice little beach1 point
