  3. Hi All, I am a 23 year old from Hale,Cheshire. I bought this 2002 Westfield SEIW with C20LET Engine earlier this year. Had a good few months of fun, however I have just had to get the Engine & Turbo rebuilt because of an issue with the Oil Pressure (Engine had grit inside from a bad previous rebuild and has totally F****** it!). Finishing it off this Weekend, so that I can get another month or two of use out of it! Should have around 300bhp. I am hoping to get to some track days very soon I have a couple of quick questions. I have just sent of for my private reg to be put on it. It currently has a stick on front number plate, where can I get these made? (I know they are illegal technically, but I've had no issues from police so far). What size are the Bolts on the front so that I can fit a proper number plate temporarily? Many Thanks! James

  4. Yes, you read that correctly, this is an event on a Monday, so get your sickie voice on and get ringing the boss. Except for our newly retired, proper pensioner Alan that is, congratulations Alan on your retirement. Meet at 10 am Darley Moor Airfield, Ashbourne, DE6 2ET where we will sit out on the viewing platform with Sue and a coffee to watch Martyn take a flight in a Tiger Moth at 10.30 am. This event is totally weather dependent, which is why I am so late posting it, but the current forecast is good, so I am going for it. Afterwards we will have a wiggle round somewhere pretty and go get some lunch, So, who is going to have a mystery, short term illness on Sunday night?

  10. You will enjoy Orkney - the churchill barriers, and the Italian chapel are worth a visit. If you have time, try and visit Skara Brae, Ness and Ring of Brodgar, and Maeshowe. Go prepared for the weather though...always a few degrees cooler than the mainland. Dave.

  11. I think that was the correct choice Geoff! Loads to see on the Orkney Islands. Plenty of places to stay and good food. Kirkwall is a nice town. Harris is a beautiful island and not at all flat. It has some of the best beaches you will ever see, and dramatic landscape. However...you need to be lucky with the weather. Benbecula and the connected Uist islands are fairly flat, they have their attractions but you'll be hard pushed to find them on a rainy Sunday! Cheers, John.

  17. A warm welcome to the club! As Geoffrey said, we love car pictures Do make it along to your local meet(s) if you can; doesn't matter what car you turn up in, Westfield, tin top or whatever, you'll be really welcome. Don't feel limited to just one Area meet either, the club doesn't work like that, do feel free to go along to as many different Area meets and events as you fancy.

  19. Andy R - we have far too much to talk about to meet and leave, so it's in the pub for 10am where we have breakfast, coffee, and chats, aim to leave at 10.30 or when everyone is ready. No pressure and relax, we are here to enjoy. Big Andy, oooh, you bought a Westfield, good choice, look forward to meeting her. Not to worry Russ, chuck Beth in the Westfield and take her to Bakewell, there is a lovely jewelers there, nice men's watches too. Congratulations by the way.

  22. Well observed Russ, Chatsworth House is indeed less than 3 miles away from the Wheatsheaf, but you have not factored in my little bit of paper with directions on in my back pocket that beats a Sat Nav any day. I call it a 'drive nav' Hi Andy and welcome to the club. We normally sit on the left just as you come through the door, we are the noisy lot that sit next to a big pile of warm clothes. It's a long journey for you so just let me know if you need fuel and I will factor it in. Now, Martyn, much as I would dearly love to admire your caravan and compare it with others that go by , I will be busy drooling over the TVR's
