  4. ...and what a great day. Nice to catch up with the good people from Cambridgeshire. Circuit is as you would expect lots of straights and some twisty bits too. My Westy went well - 115 to 120 indicated which seemed fast enough for an old git like me although House Beautician thundered by in his Jaaag doing 150+. My Westy now starts on the button too!

  6. Hello just to introduce myself. I own the Westfield GT which I bought from Kurt Ramsden ( I think it had a club nick name of FLYMO).Kurt had lots of success hill climbing the car. I have been using the car for circuit racing in the BARC CNC heads and the TVR European Challenge. Yes I know its not a TVR but I used to race with them so they let me enter as a guest. I have had success on the track but decided to put the car back to its original GT spec. On this point I am looking for some body parts. I need side pods which I am having a problem sourcing. Westfield no longer have the moulds for the side pods. If anyone has any pods, no matter how tatty they are, I would be very happy to buy them. Please let me know. I have been trying to arrange entry into the Silverstone Classic (90s GT) but am having some internal politic resistance. This also happened when it raced in the 1996 British GT Championship when the car was so quick it embarassed some of the very expensive competition. Its best result was an overall 3rd at Snetterton and finished doing the last race of the season. Would you like to see the car on the track with the Mclarens,Jaguars,Porsches etc.? I think it would be a great day for the marque. Please let me know what you think John Seery

  7. Just thought I'd share my latest bit of DIY - Up-cycled, Home made car intercom I was looking around for an intercom for my car, but was put off a bit by the price, about £250 for a basic kit, going up to £1000 or more for a pro kit But I had a old Autocom kit for my bike so I wondered if I could do something with that. I could of got a pair of proper Autocom ear defenders, but again I was looking at about £230-250 the pair. Anyway, a trip to the local B&Q and I got a pair of ear defenders for £15. A couple of hours work, drilling, threading wires and I have a working pair of ear defender/intercom - they even match the colour of the car! Might be useful to anyone else who might have an old bike intercom doing nothing and wants a cheap intercom for their car

  9. P1 (untimed) completed with us all back no issues. It's very foggy here this morning so that has slowed things down a little, it should have cleared by lunch and expect the afternoon runs to be in lovely warm sunshine
