  1. Hi Guys We have noticed some members have been contacting other branches in the A-Plan group for quotations and as a result are not getting the service or best deals available from us. Our Specialist centre, in Thatcham have the specialist schemes and staff relevant to this club to ensure you get the club discounts as promised. These schemes are bespoke and therefore not available elsewhere. In addition to the specialist rates, we are offering half price legal cover* on all policies taken. This applies to motor and home insurance. Make sure you mention this forum when you get the quotation. Give us a call on 01635 874646 or click here Thanks Clare

  4. I built this in 1976, did 92,000 miles in it and sold it in 1983 for more than it cost me to build it. This is how it looked when I found it again in Sheffield in 2000. Just after that it was bought by an Italian bloke who drove it back to Milan - it could still be driving around there. It was good to know that a car I built was still going strong 24 years later and I sort of wish I'd bought it back just for old times' sake.

  5. I've just added Cadwell next Friday to the Calendar, but wouldn't a dedicated trackday section be even better? Considering what a Westfield is, it's a bit criminal to not have one!

  6. The offending item, it turns out that the petrol pipe was rubbing on the diff bolt, so much so that I couldn't even place the jubilee clip in front to give it some protection. I persuaded it over slightly with a flat screwdriver and then fastened the clip so it should be good to go for now. I will however replace the pipe at a later date. Once again, thanks to all who helped.

  7. All of them. I wish I'd had a barn and put away all the cars I'd ever owned. They were all sold off to get the next one, but are most worth a lot more now than when they were sold.

  9. Nearly there! Did I mention there will be Balloons...? Did I mention there will be Beer...? Did I mention there will be a BBQ...? Did I mention there will be a Lamb Roast...? Did I mention there will be shiny new 30th Anniversary flags...? Did I mention there is a Prize Draw...? Did I mention there will be Beer...?

  10. 1966 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350, white with blue stripes. Several others as well, but that one above all others. Might just go have a quiet weep now...

  11. Common fault with the pressure switch. I fitted a micro switch on he peddle which fixed the problem. You'll find you don't use as much force on the brake paddle on the road as you do in the garage

  13. Nah, it is slippy, and the tarmac is very inconsistent. Still, great fun for not a lot of money as you said!
