Hi Q the zetec will be advertised soon, probably over the weekend once I've had a chance to give it a good clean and take a few nice pics. It's a good reliable car but once I started thinking about getting a BEC I guess it was just a matter of time. Maybe I'll miss the drivability of the zetec but we'll see. The subject was put forward to allow people to air their views out in the open and feel that they have had the chance to do so. What we need to do next is to allow the SSOT to consider in depth what has been said and see if we can rationalise a few options as to how to go forward. It actually wasn't the novices winning which prompted the debate as that had already been dealt with by using target times, it was just a general feeling that a debate would be worth having to see if we could get some good ideas and I think there have been some. Exactly how some of them could be included is yet to be decided but hopefully they can be. I do need to add a post in the general forum to ask for comments.

You know sometimes I am actually pleased to be as old as I am but I really worry about the kids. As has been said until there is a viable alternative it's going to be very hard to change. So if they had announced big spending to improve the alternatives I would actually have been far more impressed. Although I can remember being at Uni many many moons ago and we were discussing tide / wave power then. But so little has been spent to get an achievable solution it's a joke.
