  3. Don't underestimate the enjoyment that comes from filling a large tank up once in the morning (even if it's 'only' 1/2 to 2/3 full) and then not worrying about it for the rest of the day while everyone with their small sprint tanks has to faff between runs

  4. It s a really big day for me today I collected my chassis this afternoon. It was panelled as requested also I had the brake and fuel lines fitted. I also got enough bit to get it rolling although I have asked for the body to arrive later as I have no space. Soooooo................plenty to do then.

  9. Actually, the forecast is improving. Looks like any rain will be pretty light and mostly on Saturday evening and early Sunday morning. Went to Stoneleigh today. Ground very firm, marquee up, tables and chairs inside and ready.

  11. A young captain in the French Foreign Legion is being shown his new base by a Major, after his tour the young captain says to the Major I haven't seen any women on camp! in my last post there were several pretty girls working in the canteen, what do you use for sex? the Major whispers in the Captain's ear and says we use the camels, oh I see said the young Captain looking a little lost for words. A week later there is a mad rush of French Legionnaires running towards a group of camels, intrigued the Captain grabs one of them by the shoulder and asks what's all the rush? ............................................. Sir, you don't want an ugly one do you?

  12. Or A young captain is being shown his new base by a Major, after his tour the young captain says to the Major I haven't seen any women on camp! in my last post there were several pretty girls working in the canteen, what do you use for sex? the Major whispers in the Captain's ear and says we use the ostriches. oh I see said the young Captain looking a little lost for words. The major tells him that one night he felt 'lonely' and noticed an ostrich grazing 'What a cracking pair of legs' he thought, and temptation get the better of him 'What was it like' asks the captain Major replied 'well the first 100 yards were a bit rough'

  16. Yeah, the IVA manual only says something along the lines of cables and hoses should be protected from chaffing. I've chosen to cover probably 90-95% of mine, just because it worked out looking neater, and because it offered extra protection from the elements in areas like the tunnel and around the rear diff cage and engine bay. But the choice is yours!

  17. The choice is yours. Some put it all along the harness others only use it where the harness may rub or be exposed to flying road debris. e.g. rear light wiring etc. I've done the latter. I've used quite a lot on the rear end round the diff cage of different thicknesses.
