  1. Very few of us enloy such luxury For my first event i hired a trailer and talked a friend into towing it for me after that I bought one myself and towed it behind my golf. The most comfort I have overnight is either a small tent or a cheep travel Inn room. I may not have the most expensive gear or the right car to be competitive but I don't care. For me it's all about just being there, the experience and most of all having some fun.

  4. I don't watch it ever since Rosie left, the little minx. You do realise that what will happen is Christmas day he will get drunk, dress as Santa and drive the "kitcar" into a bunch of children or wheel chair users singing Christmas carols. There will then be several weeks of handwringing emotional scenes as the children die off and where cars for fun will be trashed. There will be a help line for those affected by "car fun" etc.

  9. Blame the tree huggers for this. They lobbied and got manufacturers to develop diesel as their view was petrol was the drink of the devil and diesel was made by angels. Then a new set of tree huggers show that children were getting sick from the soot that was now being belched out at low level. They lobbied again and we had lowering of emissions leading to DPF to catch the soot, but then cars don't run so they come up with a wheeze to burn the captured soot out of the DPF in one go into the air. So when that has failed they lobbied so now we need to produce chemicals to inject into the exhaust to try to stop the soot, but guess what they still don't work. So the VM have wasted years chasing the diesel dream when if they have concentrated on lean burn petrol engines the progress would be better. But wait, the problem is now, so the solution is to come up with a system that we cannot reach so they fine us. The pollution is still there but at least the EU gets shed loads of money from us as we will stump up. At the same time the big industrial scale polluters can offset there carbon by paying for homes to have insulation fitted free. The subject of emissons and climate change are the "kings new clothes" of the new age. Those like Al Gore who make billions from it keep shouting and ridicule anyone who dares to question it or worse making people like David Bellamy unemployable by the BBC as he did not tow the line. Many people can see the ugly sight unfold but because the money keeps churning in no one is allowed to have a platform to speak.

  10. I will only revisit BMW land when hell freezes over. I had an 06 plate E90 which, after 45K miles, eat its auto box. Full BMWSH. Stuff happens, but the stink that the dealer and the head office kicked up about it was appalling. They acted like it had done 245K miles, not 45K and that and I quote the dealer "it doesn't seem unreasonable for an auto box to die at 45K miles". When I asked to film him saying this, so I could show it to the people looking at the used cars on his plot, he changed his mind quickly...... And this was a main dealer...
