  2. I think his problem isn't that it wouldn't run but that he wants to keep the new laptop fresh from maybe software downloaded for a trial basis shall we call it.

  3. While I did have parts missing, and some that delayed the build, I found the factory to be pretty good to deal with- sales, parts and help. They weren't faultless but my lasting feeling was that they wanted me to be happy. You won't regret building it, I've done 500 miles and am loving it (especially as I'm now reving it over 4k). I am also very glad to have built it myself. I'm glad to hear it's going to be a slow build as sometimes you have to walk away, and you do need a break every so often. Looking forward to a bright yellow build thread coming soon.......

  4. I can't watch that, as you say, UK only. I called Lynne in when there was 5 laps to go. I had a feeling. Mo was pacing himself perfectly. He has a very fast finish. At the end I was standing up screaming him on and jumping up and down like the lunatic I am. Even Lynne was getting excited. All we need to do now is to convince our government to put money into youth and sports clubs to maximise on the motivation being generated.

  5. He's the sort of Yank that makes me cringe, Norman. Probably never been out of Florida, let alone out of the States. It's all "USA is best and everyone else sucks" - so childish. Britain has half as many medals with 20% of their population and with about 5% of their budget, on a piece of land the size of California - in those terms, no one is performing better than the Brits and the USA are under performing. He's the classic ugly American, of which there are thankfully fewer and fewer as they grow up and see the world.

  7. Scott, please do not apologise for him. It would seem he's not worth it. I thought it was a sarcastic comment but failed to see the sarcasm. Or wit. I've had a run in with him once before and, on that occasion it was like talking to a wall. As the USA are leading the medal table what can he be upset about.

  8. Getting parked all together in NB will be a nightmare, so an alternative could be to stop at the Old Clubhouse in Gullane. If we decide on an early lunch, say 12:00, then there's plenty parking directly out front.
