I think you'll find it's called civilised debate with a side order of p*ss taking... Do you think Steve gives a flying feck what you, I, or any number of internerds think of his spoiler? He merely posted a couple of pics of a pretty and fun to drive sports car on a sports car enthusiast's forum. He doesn't need to bully or otherwise argue with anyone who dislikes it. That's their prerogative He sure doesn't need me to defend him either, but it makes me despair when the mere act of posting a couple of pics of a nice car can quickly descend into a puerile, points scoring, asinine, idiotic, vitriolic, whinging session from people who clearly have nothing better or more productive to do or think about. A discussion/informed debate about whether or what aero' benefits the wing will deliver is one thing, as is a bit of light hearted fun poking. By definition most people with big wings on their car have them bolted on merely for visual effect, however as Steve has pointed out this is not the case here. Feel free to disagree, we have already seen a fair few of your contributions to the forum and we can choose to value them as we perceive them.... :d6 points

not this old chesnut again !!! lets get one thing straight here f***** smart A*** , the last time i looked this was a car forum ,where folk come to talk about cars and have a chuckle to get away from the stresses of life ,not to pick people up on there gramma or spelling , if thats the only thing you have to say then you need to grow up ,and if my spelling and gramma offends you then you are more childish than i thought and that goes to anyone on here ,some of us are not all perfect in every aspect of life and spelling or gramma is not my forte obviously and i dont try to hide that ,so i dont need reminding about it by muppets who are trying to be smart arses , i have spent the last 25 years working my balls off at work not sat in a class room keeping myself up to scratch on my gramma etc i have had more problems in my life than a bit of spelling or gramma to worry about , the last thing on my mind when im at work building /repairing cars or even on here is my gramma or spelling ,so jog on4 points

I really thought about posting the following; Those that criticise Steve are in the very unfortunate position of not knowing the person behind the posts. The written language may not be his strong point; does that matter? (At least he doesn't revert to 'text speak') You only have to look at the time he makes his posts to realise this guy does an average of 16hr days! I am lucky enough to see his work and his creations first hand on most days and he has great talent - a large percentage of that talent its put to use helping people in car clubs with chassis problems etc. Yes, he makes money from it - he runs a business but he is one of the most helpful people I have ever known - you don't need university qualifications to be a 'natural' at what you do. I have worked in the area for 25 years; most of which Steve has worked at Winsford Body Shop and they have always had the reputation of being the best in the area by no small margin - most of the work over the last 10+ years has been directed by Steve. We became friendly with Steve not because he was a 'nice chap' (which, coincidently he is) but because his work is first rate. Give him a break - he will help anyone and certainly knows what he is doing with performance cars - we are more than happy to be working 'alongside' him. Steve - if you wrote in Chinese it would still contain more useful information than most people post!3 points

I have found, amougst many other treasures, in my Father in Laws garage, and English Diff, in its Nose Housing. It has 41 teeth on the Crown Wheel and 9 on the Pinion Wheel (they maybe the other way round, so appologies in advance). These numbers are also stamped on the Crown Wheel. I am assured that it has never been used, and what I dont know is if it has a LSD in it. But it is 100% complete. Am I right in thinking that this will be a 1:4.55 Diff ? If so what might its value be, as we are starting to have a clear out. Any help appreciated. If I can get a photo uploaded I will.1 point

Perhaps grown men know the difference between there and they're and know to put a space after the comma? Or is learning that much to 'kiddy' for you too? To save you using Google, one is a film, the other is a prefix for a series of computer games. You mean the floor Otherwise, road cars don't tend to break the sound barrier and their structures don't really suffer from much deformation under operation. Now the land speed records require crazy stuff to happen and Formula 1 is in it's own special category.1 point

The "DJ Racecars" wings are made by The Wing Shop to designs by Simon McBeath who has written several books on the subject of aerodynamics and racecar preparation : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Simon-McBeath/e/B001K85QY6/ref=ntt_athr_dp_pel_11 point

The std wing is simply a designer/stylists vision of what looks pretty on the car. Aerodynamics is a hugely complicated issue on a car with possibly more variables than you would find on an aircraft. Having worked at a fair few vehicle OEM's in conjunction with aerodynamicists, I think I can say with some conviction that the aero guys make loads of recommendations about what compromises are needed to make a product work at it's optimimum, then the designers generally ignore all of that and design something that's pretty and pays nominal lip service to aero factors... Hence things like the std Elise wing....1 point

No interest at all? Is it the car or the price or just the market? I've got my eyes on a Mini so although I had a great blast out in this yesterday and really don't want to say goodbye I could do with getting at least one of my cars shifted!1 point
