My new Carbon NV Cycle Wings

Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup)

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to say a big thankyou to Mark from carbon NV for my new cycle wings.

The quality looks amazing and I am really happy.

So looking forward to getting them on Buttercup.

The communication has also been excellent and I have been kept informed throughout.

Anyway here are some pictures for you all to drool over.

Oooo very nice! Aside from the obvious bling factor, is there a weight saving over the GRP equivalent?

I would think so but no idea what.

The carbon wing weighs 500g.

I did not buy them for the weight though.

Nice! I'm looking for some myself, how stiff are they as my carbon effect ones are eating themselves away & the factory ones with return edges are expensive!

The wings feel stiff to me but I am not sure how they are supposed to feel.

I can twist them slightly if I hold each end but they certainly are not floppy and feel well up to the job.

The return edges that go down the face of the tyre are solid.

Very nice Geoff how much were they? also have you decided how you are going to fix them? I had a pair of carbon ones on my previous westfield and I bonded in big head fasteners to avoid drilling through the lovely carbon  ;)  :)

Hi Marcus.

Don't want to discuss money as its a dirty subject.

I am sure Mark will look after you.

Regarding the fixing......No idea. I was just going to take the car to Bogg Brothers and say" fit them for me Steve and I will see you in a fortnight"

I will put your idea to Steve though.
