WestyNottm Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Adrian flux £140 2gether £110 Spent 10 mins on phone Adrian flux £98 2gether £88 Why can't they they just give best quote to save all the faffing around.... Might hold out for a better one ! I must say that not getting the 'best' quote first time from a broker makes a nonsense of their very existence. Their renewal quote usually includes a covering letter that states they have scoured the market place for the best quote available (limited by their panel of chosen insurers). Out of principle, I do not give them a second chance if I find it cheaper elsewhere. After all, they would have taken the higher amount if not challenged. How is that acting in your best interests? 1 Quote
Paul Gibney - Lancashire AO Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Insurance and breakdown through 2gether £110 Tried the rest nowhere near.... Good start to the day! Quote
CrisisWolf Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Similar has just occurred to me. Renewal was £230 from A-Plan Called Adrian Flux who gave £190, said I'd think about it and they offered £175 all in with superior cover, increased value and lower excess. Awaiting documents to check it over now. (being 28 has pricing issues but I don't mind!) Quote
Kingster Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 OK, hands up anyone who can beat my quote - yes this is genuine! Quote
CrisisWolf Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I'd take out the pay monthly option. As it's cheaper! Quote
Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Snap their hands off Chris, it's a bargain! Quote
WestyNottm Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Don't call them on their freephone number as they will lose all the profit from the premium. Quote
Kingster Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Here's how... I asked for a quote for my tin top and the Westy, so they said £381 for both - bargain, says I. So they quote comes through and it says £381 for the Honda, no mention of the Westy. I ring up and they say, there should be another one for the Westy, but for 1p - as that's how they do the two car policy! i will ring tomorrow and say I accept the Westy quote and see what they say 1 Quote
CrisisWolf Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 What Honda have you got? Wonder if they will do me the same deal when my Honda is due! Quote
