Perfect. Having removed the heated windscreen and wipers I want to replace the aluminum to carbon. So now I know what fuse powers what in the car. Thanks.

Not today but a few days ago. Whether I'd leave a few shillings worth of vintage Bentley unattended in a public car park or not is something to ponder! -

Starmer wants to lower the voting age- a good idea ?.
jeff oakley replied to Richard (OldStager)'s topic in Stuff & Nonsense
I too would make voting compulsory as I believe it is in Australia. People fought and died to get the vote and yet turnout is always pitiful. It is even worse for local elections and yet somehow that makes more of a difference to our day to day life than a change in government in many ways. I am proud to say I have never missed a vote I could participate in and yes on some the choices left me cold but at least I did my bit. All parties at the moment are shockingly bad the worst choices I have ever seen -
Small deposit now taken with the promise it's sold on Saturday, I shall let all parties know who have been kind enough to contact me should the sale fall thru. Regards Dave

A personal conundrum...
Richard (OldStager) replied to Richard (OldStager)'s topic in Stuff & Nonsense
Since I now have the car this was found in the "extras" box. Just a clip on one, those high level mirrors, but as can be seen there is a blemish on the mirror, will see if this is distracting or not. -

New member, assistance in buying/viewing car
Richard (OldStager) replied to Graham Harvey's topic in The Start Line
If you are parking it that long, run the car out of fuel on the carbs, if you have a switch on the dash to do that, failing that pull a fuse. Had huge issues with water from this modern E5 sitting in the float bowls ( I left mine for 6 months) - resulting quite obviously in the car failing to run. Also keep as little in the tank as possible, again for decreased water collection issues. EFI cars don't appear to have the same issues due to the higher pressure they run at ( atomising the water/ fuel mix ) whereas on low pressure systems ( carbs) this does not happen. Correct, Webers are not known for their efficiency when it comes to fuel use. -

Haha thank you! Can’t beat the simplicity of carbs and as I work away for over 7 months of the year with the car parked up, I didn’t want any computers to ruin my fun when I got home! it does have a good appetite for V power though! Haha -

its not storage issues, data switched on, but using wifi with all 3 bars lit battery at 44%, I was thinking if there is bad data connection as well as a bad wifi one as well at the same time, I would have expected the phone to wait till a signal was good enough to enable the upload, seems it does not. So now thinking if such conditions are present the photos will never be uploaded, tried it in the house and its fine, so not at all sure here. Still having to transfer via emails, wonder if the cable to PC would work instead of that, that's the next thing to try. -
Starmer wants to lower the voting age- a good idea ?.
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary replied to Richard (OldStager)'s topic in Stuff & Nonsense
If your still considered a minor under criminal law until you are 18, then that conflicts with the concept of being able to vote at 16. If you want to change one then both need changing surely ? -

Captain Colonial replied to Richard (OldStager)'s topic in Stuff & Nonsense
Saying 16 year-olds shouldn’t vote when there are adults of all ages who don’t or won’t vote rather misses the point. Voting should be compulsory IF there is an option to put a cross next to a box that says “Abstain” if the voter feels there is no suitable candidate or party, and if there are more votes received for “Abstain” than any candidate, the election should be null and void and all the candidates are barred from running a second time. Or you could just vote for me, running on a platform of benign dictatorship. 👍 -

There can be several reasons for this. lack of storage on cloud account low data, or mobile data switched off low battery Photos may be uploading slowly or paused because WiFi signal was lost -
I have been taking a fair number of pics today with this new phone ( 15) but having issues with the automatic uploading of the pics to my iCloud account, it appears to upload some and then miss others despite taking the pics just seconds apart, I can get the pics from the phone onto the PC by emailing myself, but its a messy way to do it. Is there somkething perhaps I am doing wrong or does this sometimes occur with iCloud?. Thanks Richard.
