When I first started competing with the VSCC 25 years ago I never knew more than 10 days before the event if I had an entry. Fortunately things have moved on and the greater majority of clubs confirm the entry within a few days giving me the chance to organise myself. So far I have a receipt for my payment for the Blyton sprint, so I assume I have an entry. I had a talk with David Taylor about this at Anglesey and he took the time to explain the situation which I can understand to a certain extent. But I would have thought a club that is run as professionally as Longton would not have fallen into the trap of being dependant on one individual, and even if they had, would have recovered by now. I'm looking forward to the sprint, the best part of it is at 6.30am walking the track and seeing and hearing all the sky larks, I have never seen so many in one place.

Thanks John. I have entered. I assume the fact that they have taken my money means I have an entry. It's important for me to know as we will probably spend several days in the area so there is accommodation to book and friends to contact. -

Don't see many of those these days. A very good Caterham. More than 450bhp/tonne and handles superbly. Could apparently outperform an R500 on the road! -

I got one of those and they are very helpful - especially for the 19" wheels on our X3 which seem to weigh about 50kg 😊 -

Hi Terry Do you still have the quick lift jack available? If so do you ever come down to this neck of the woods? I live just outside Chepstow not far from Castle Combe and could do a meet, the reason i ask is the cost of carriage on something so large and heavy would probably be prohibitive! Hope you dont mind me asking. cheers Derek

Very unlikely. last year was the centenary and sold out almost immediately, this year is the first proper year of hypercars. have a look on the pistonheads for sale/wanted thread or try the agents. There’s normally someone selling tickets. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=25&t=1850668&p=52
