Perfect planning and timing, no luck involved at all 😉 - Today

Wow, well done Dave, impressive driving. I think if you are up against mostly production cars, my guess is you are going to win every event ( barring mechanical failure and / or spin out) . My car before being converted back to road spec was an Autotest car, I was never told of its history but the remaining evidence was over whelming. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Winter finally has loosened its grip and the summer autocross season has started. I moved into the 2000's by finally getting a Go-Pro and here's my first in-car video taken at an autocross event. I'm two races into my season and so far I've chalked up two wins. Next week I go for number 3. The car is feeling great and balanced and all the winter work has paid off. dave https://youtu.be/r6tShuUtcAY

A rather well timed video for me, a good lecture about Mental Health.

Patchs A.I and the NHS ?.
Richard (OldStager) replied to Richard (OldStager)'s topic in Stuff & Nonsense
Yeah, I don't do the usual social media either, who wants to see someone else's breakfast goodness me, the only thing I do use is YT, which only has my email and false DOB and username. The Patchs thing I may have over reacted to, but as I say until tomorrow I won't know if that is true or not. ETA, funny to see the forum censored an acronym, and replaced it with goodness me, funny that. -

I find it interesting that the supposed underfunded NHS can afford AI... Companies having publicly available info is unavoidable, and I expect anyone I deal with to look for me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. Wanting to maintain my privacy as best I can is why I don't use "normal" social media, and I never will, and the vast majority of searchers won't go much beyond those three, and maybe LinkedIn. Don't use that either... Companies having medical info would raise an eyebrow. Should a "corporate" person ask about specifics, or should I become aware they have specifics, my first question would be to ask if the information was both legally and ethically gathered, and see how that goes

Whilst trying to change the handle on the pull start of my mower….. I let go of the string. Don’t try this at home kids!🤣 That is all 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Now sorted but it took a while 🤪🤪 -
Bunty started following Type 9 gearbox wanted
-
Hi all, I’m after a type 9 gearbox in good working order or possibly rebuilt if anyone has one at all? I’m Tring in Hertfordshire but am willing to travel if needed . Thanks. Jon
-
@Stuart Thanks Stuart, I am prepared to give it another go, but I can't find the deflectors I made years ago, kind of thinking I binned them thinking well the doors are staying on, so why have these anymore. Searched everywhere, maybe they will turn up when I least expect it. I have to make mine ( and the doors) as I have a cat 7 windscreen frame and the rake is slightly different to a Westys one, also its taller as well.
-
@Richard (OldStager) I very rarely take my sidescreens off. Find it much more comfortable that way (even though I have some wind deflectors)
-
I forgot about my wind deflectors, not sure where they are now, thanks for the reminder.
-
Recent snap of your Westfield
Stuart Davis (fatblokestu) AO - Devon & Somerset replied to SXRORY's topic in The Start Line
It’s certainly the full experience with them off. So long as it’s warm, not raining and you aren’t on Motorways then I enjoy it more. I just had the little wind deflectors on for our Exmoor trip and it was lovely, my hat even stayed on! When it warmed up, I took them off for some more fresh air but need to reverse the baseball cap and look a right idiot for it to stay on! 🤣 -
Having tried both in the past I am inclined to agree with you. I have a friend calling next weekend, so as long as the weather plays ball, I will remove them again and see.
