3,000 miles 🤯 it ain’t even run in yet so keep to 3,000 revs - 🤩🙏👍

Nice to hear of one with such high mileage. Mine was one of the first built (1993) and I’m still only on about 3000 miles!

Apple iPhone 15 info required - resolved.
Richard (OldStager) replied to Richard (OldStager)'s topic in Stuff & Nonsense
Thanks to all that helped me here, yes the 15 is a big improvement on my now failed 6, at first I was a bit confused at the lack of the physical button at the bottom of the phone, but soon worked it out, the interface , although updated is still as easy to navigate and pleased to say the camera side if it is much better also. My only criticism would be that who ever is refurbing these and then packing them up, nice enough as the box was, all stout and everything it never came with the sim tray removal pin thingy. This was resolved by borrowing a suitable dress making pin from next door ( I don't "do" sewing, lol ) also the charge cable they included wasn't what I use, it came with a USB C at both ends rather than the C at one end and the standard ( I don't know what it's called) USB a PC has. no big deal as my local grocery store has these on the shelf. - Today

Only experience I had with a stairlift was its ability to destroy lots of the electronic devices in the house. During a short stint working for a small PC supplier had to revisit a customer repeatedly due to endless failures. After finally getting honest answers to some pertinent questions it turned out they had suffered a crop of failures of kit since the stairlift was installed. We put in a line-conditioning UPS which solved the PC issues but did nothing to help the parade of blown up TVs etc. I don’t think they really believed me that it was the stairlift to blame….

There is a V8 Westie group on FB-https://www.facebook.com/groups/429934755136505 Though as @AndrewBClarke and @Quinten will admit, the club is inclusve to all members including those was larger numbers of cylinders than others. Brakes/bodywork/suspension/steering etc is common across the Seiw range. I do like hearing @AndrewBClarke car start as well as following him round the peaks, you can't beat a V8 sound track. -
Already tried to answer this in your previous thread on the subject:

The Meandering Thoughts of a Fickle Mind & Potential Regret (Anyone Else Like Me?)
Westygav replied to Westygav's topic in The Start Line
Stuart, yes I bought it off Mark. It does have some nice fancy bits on the car and I've added to it too. One of the 'things' I've done is, I put a light weight flywheel, on it over the winter break, new 4 paddle clutch plate and that's made a fantastic difference. It wasn't cheap either, so the placebo effect is definitely telling me it's made a fantastic difference. 😁 -
Good morning from a fellow Seight owner. With regards to a formal register, I don’t think so. The only one that I know of is unofficial and incomplete and can be found on this site which includes all Westfields. In an article in the club magazine a few years ago, there were details of the models made and quantities sold. From memory there were about 540 Seights and production stopped in 2009. There may well be other cars that have had engine transplants. Sorry doesn’t really answer your question or give accurate details but best I can do. Looks like a lovely car. They are fantastic and real head turners. Mine is one of the last to be made - 2009 - pre registered with a Rover 3.5 V8.

Front mounted mowers - Stiga or Husqvarna?
BobMet replied to Kit Car Electronics's topic in Stuff & Nonsense
I can't remember what they changed but I think it was a mechanical component inside the transmission. -
Hello just re joined as I near the end of my seight project restoration, 1999 car with just 21k kms on it (I guess no one liked the fuel bills:)) So big Q? Is there a Seight register? and /or how and where could I find out how many were made? I only know of 2 here in Australia but am happy to be put right.....

Front mounted mowers - Stiga or Husqvarna?
TCAC replied to Kit Car Electronics's topic in Stuff & Nonsense
Hi Bob, when your transmission failed, do you know what they repaired? I'm having issues with the drive on my Park Pro, changed the belt and the hydraulic oil and filter, but still no real drive, it will move forward and back very slowly. Thanks, - Yesterday

Would you sell the diff seperately? Is it in good servicable order or would you plan a rebuild?
