Hi, no I'll need to do some digging to find that, will let you know when I do.
- Today
-
Thanks, I'm getting motivated for the rebuild after a trip down memory lane emptying mum's house.
-
Thanks, I will definitely document the rebuild, not sure how quickly I will get it rebuilt though. First need to find space for my track car so I can get the Westy in the garage at home.

seat fitment into seiw Tillet any help
Tillett Car Seats replied to Lukerobs's topic in The Start Line
Thanks for tagging. The B6 seats have M8 thread inserts in the base and bolt from underneath. Most cars have the drivers side on runners and passenger seat fixed. Without runners spacers are needed or the bowl of the seat will touch the floor first. We can supply these. Its easy to fix in later cars with the solid floor. Cars with the alloy floor and steel cross members are a little trickier as the spacing is not quite right for most seats. Even the factory tended to tack weld an M8 bolt to the rear end of the runner so that it would span the spacing. Please message me if any further questions. Regards David B6-Dimensions.pdf -
Thanks Steve, I've read your rebuild thread already, it was good reading.

Thanks it's good to be back, been emptying my mum's house, my bedroom was a bit of a time warp, still had many issues of Westfield World in the cupboard!
-
Yeah, I lived in Oxfordshire back in the 90's but relocated to USA for 10 years and moved the Westy to my mum's near Malvern, the car had already been stood for a couple of years but on the way to my mum's the front right brake caliper seized so needed the AA to finish the journey. I was trying to fix the brakes during holidays back from America but that didn't work and it's been sat ever since.

Don't forget that fitting LED bulbs in a Halogen lamp is an MOT failure, whereas fitting a LED lamp unit is ok. -

These are the ones I fitted into my Dominators. Bear in mind they are really meant for motorbikes those Dominators so will never match a good car headlamp unit. They do get you seen much better than the standard bulbs though and I've had no issues with them overheating or anything like that. -
Yeah he messaged me to say they had gone a few weeks back

I've fitted B6 seats to mine, bought through this forum from David. The Tillet runners work just fine, although you'll certainly need to drill new holes. And you need the seat option with the rolled edge cut off for them to fit. Other than that, only thing to watch for when fitting is clearance for the shoulder of the seat when pushed back. It's a bit of a tight fit, but not too much so.

I use these super bright white light halo side light and a useful large indicator got them off ebay £42 had them on about 18 months faultless had to slightly trim the shells as a gnats tight one of the best purchases I've made if using the indicators then you need an led flasher unit which just plugs in I got an adjustable one for just £6 amazon special works great under 50 quid to see safely in the dark and be seen well worth it.

Haha i wont lie first spin out i rolled back out of a drive slight down hill and all i herd was the diffuser scrape along the floor and i could have cried it normally takes me a short while to get in and out that time i was out within seconds lol
-
Epic looking car, love the colour, I'd love a rear diffuser like that on mine, I have already ripped mine off once though and it doesn't even stick out lol
-
Got any links to the LED bulbs that work? Ive driven mine a few times at night and its worse than my old CRX or Fiesta RS which was like driving blind lol
-
Did these sell?
-
Make sure you know which length you need, my 93 SEWI used shorter ones from the factory.
-
Yep planning to do more once the salty roads end gritting like mad my way now , tbh this is all bran new to me ive always had cars and done alot of kz go karts but the kit car scene is all new and if honest its a little overwhelming once you start looking at what you want to do ect nothing seems a simple or straightforward job but i love it next summer will be great
-
Your missing out not driving at night it's really good in a westie nice set of led lights less than 60 quid job done enjoy.
-
Thanks mate i really do love it i believe the old owner is on this site , some one called gav, i brought it off a lad who had only had it a short time not much info with whats what on the car. i also dont drive it at night but the bulbs sound a good upgrade incase i get caught out one evening so il 100% look into the lights, i do fancy some track days but having only driven it twaice 😩 im a fine weather driver lol i feel i need more time in the car and then book a few track days to see what its like when pushed. i am in process of looking for tillet seats and il get some 13 inch wheels for track days, but roll on next summer i cant wait to be in it again
