Club meets and 'other kits' ?

That's most unusual I have 3 off them near me not even a glance when I drive past and at our local village car show they turn up and park in a little flock in the corner of the field talk to classic car owners but not westies sad little bunch really surely they can't all be like that.

Club meets and 'other kits' ?

Non Cat Zetec exhaust silencer wanted

De cat zetec blacktop exhaust wanted . Must be in good condition
  10. Lumbar support fitted today. I've used these on my campervan and they made such a difference to my back so I thought I'd give it a try: There are 2 backrest straps to hold the bag in the perfect position. I found however that when it was pumped up it pushed backwards more than forwards. So I added a piece of lightweight 3mm plywood. Refitted the seat back and sat on it in the kitchen it feels good !

    Insta 360 X3 package

I’m going to upgrade to an Insta 360 X5 so am selling this X3 with accessories. Package is: Insta 360 X3 Insta Remote Control Spare Battery and Fast Charger Lens Protectors Small Rig Cage Lens Cover Value is somewhere around £500 total, so I’m looking for about £300 ono including post and packaging. I’ll post some pictures later but condition is very good, some wear on the casing but optics are good. A few example screenshots attached from our recent Cornish trip.

    SEIW 2.0 ecoboost 520 hp/ton monster

Why is it amazing cars always seem to come up for sale when you already have one and are not in a position to buy! If I sell mine and wait, one won't come up for 5 years you wait and see! 😤😤😤
  15. Bit of a trek from Scotland so I doubt @DMc will make it, but I can tell you that photos could never do it justice. In the flesh it really is stunning looking, exceptionally well built and with an amazing attention to detail. That must be at least 2 pints you owe me David 🤣
  16. Today's work was un-seizing the Mountney steering boss ..
  17. It's the std bend on the ford lever, the new length is probably not dis-similar to what the original ford might have had ? I won't know until my next track day really how it feels in-anger so to speak, but feels great in the workshop lol !

    Land's End or bust!

Some snapshots from the Insta 360 footage. Will try to post some video up on YT later. These are me passing Mark just to sort ourselves out after a somewhat confused stop in a lay by. Trying to decide whether to wait for Gareth and Linda or not 🤪 Harry following me, then waiting patiently for me to reverse and take the turning I had missed 🤪 Approaching Death Corner! Filling up in the Gulf Services with rubbish E10!

Sorted. So you're Maverick and I'm Ice Man? 😂

Club meets and 'other kits' ?

    I'll be your wing man
  22. This is one of the few cars I've taken as example while rebuilding mine, astounding build and fantastic attention to detail. It surely deserves the price asked, I don't think there is a better sorted Seven-style car around (yes, I'm including ALL Seven-style cars, even Cats). @DMc maybe you can add the year of registration to the ad, might be useful for interested people from abroad.

Club meets and 'other kits' ?

My old Tiger is for sale. I sold it to a mate a few years who is now looking to sell. It is what I'd call an entry level Seven. 2 litre Pinto on twin 40s giving about 152bhp. Goes very well in fact. 2003 year. Black and silver. Aeroscreen. Roll bar not full cage. Q plate so easy when comes to MOT time. I'd say it's probably in the 5 to 5½k bracket. Give or take a bit. Sump has a tiny weep of oil but he has a new shallow sump pan ready to go on. It was my first kit car and I'm still very fond of it, I had just as much fun in that as I have in my 3 times the price Westie!

Club meets and 'other kits' ?

You get what you pay for go to cheap and you'll probably buy a box of trouble and get put off the whole 7 experience I honestly don't think 4-5k is a good budget I think you have to go north of 8k to be safe there will be no doubt the odd decent car below this but with no experience with a 7 you'll have trouble finding that gem.

Club meets and 'other kits' ?

Let's call a spade a spade, the Caterham lads are famous for being 'snobby' about their cars. Not all of them of course but I have found a large percentage are like that. Turn up at one of their meets in another Seven and it's unlikely you will be made welcome. I keep on threatening to go to their famous fish and chip run and see what happens! Fancy doing that @Craigieboy? 😂😂😂 We are not like that here in the WSCC, not at all, in fact I'd say were are the polar opposite. Even our local WSCC WhatsApp group has quite a few varieties of kits and non-kits. Also you could look into joining KitNet.uk, there are quite a few us here who are members of both. KitNet has a huge variety of kits and also some non-kits, classics etc. Basically if you love cars you are welcome.

Club meets and 'other kits' ?

I got that. But if the engine/box is “midish 4” then that’s not a lot left for the rest of the car 😁
