Wheel ramps - are they useful for a Westfield?
Flying Carrot Steve replied to eggontoast's topic in The Start Line
You can get them with built-in jacks too (usually a bottle jack type affair) and raise the car quite a bit higher than the standard ones. Not sure how safe they are though but I'd imagine as safe as any bottle jack is. -

I've never done that. I've always driven onto mine. Maybe it depends how low you are. -

I use them, but donโt drive onto them . I prefer to jack up and put them under the raised wheels. -

I don't know about FW but I use ramps with my ZK all the time, front and back. -

All depends upon what you are wanting to do. They are a good safe way of raising a car and then being underneath secure, but most maintenance you do involves taking off wheels so these do not really help in that situation. I prefer a good quality jack and stands, not cheap import tools -
Hello all, Are wheel ramps useful for a Westfield? Is it possible to reverse a FW bodied car on to some without scuffing the nose on the ground, but fore then jacking the front? I'm confident jacking and supporting the front of the car but not so much the back. This sort of thing (these specifically give 20cm lift):

I put cable ties under the aluminium tank straps. Then fasten the hose to the cable ties with other cables ties. -

This morning we got back from New Zealand and young Kasper has another surprise in store for us, he sold the Lamborghini and bought another Rolls Royce, so now the stable consists of, two Rollers, one McLaren 720, a Maybach and a bog standard Merc for the wife to use on the school run.๐ฎ And heโs only got a two car garage ๐ At least Paul Jnrs new house will have a four car garage when itโs finished ๐
