I tried to use the bathroom scales one time but the Mrs wasn't too impressed π . Joking aside it was something that i kept meaning to do but never got round to it. Let's just say when i need to push it about with it not having a reverse gear it's very easy

What the postie brought today!
Tim (Sideways) Johnson - Club Treasurer replied to Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset's topic in The Start Line
A hood bag from the very helpful Laura at www.tigercars.co.uk via eBay. They are happy to make them without the Tiger logo and have piping to suit most car colours. If you do go down that route, ask for the straps to be made a little longer as ours are a bit tight on the Jap rollbar. Otherwise, very pleased with it. Also a matching hat from some random safety wear company π - Today

Believe it or not but I'm still waiting on the settlement from KGM insurance! They really are the worst insurance company to deal with, my second formal complaint has just been acknowledged, so hopefully see an end to it soon...

Mathew Vernon - Membership Secretary replied to Steve G.'s topic in The Start Line
Is WSCC attending the Replica & Self Build show in an official capacity? I notice that they're doing deals on group bookings, although entry is pretty cheap anyhow (and even cheaper if you display). Also saw that Westfield Chesil are listed as an exhibitor, so looks like the factory are supporting. -

Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO replied to Steve G.'s topic in The Start Line
Interesting, I did wonder if it would be free entry for kits. Not surprised it's not. Though they're not exactly expensive. Not sure how the camping will work, though given the fee is for up to 6 people per pitch. -
So @Craigieboy what's your next step car-wise? Are we up to date on the story? One little bump and your whole car life changes, bl**** frustrated for you mate

I'm sure I've seen fully caged cars running these just wedged in place, or was I dreaming? -

Not the best picture, sorry, but gives you an idea. He had the clamps lying around and I think he plans some improvements over the winter. -

Hi, just purchased my weekend ticket for the Replica and Self Build Festival 2026 at Stoneleigh ( half price if purchased before 31/10/25) , should be a great weekend .Details can be seen on carshowco. com -
It's Ebay ones I had, but unfortunately no longer have a Westfield

Display issue sorted! Thank you @LoneWolfπ

That is very sound and timely advice, thank you. Itβs probably too late now, but there seems to be a company on eBay that makes custom wind deflectors. They could probably use your existing ones as templates and reuse the fixing hardware. Potentially cheaper than buying the whole thing again?

So why in the past has it worked and now not I wonder? All I'm doing is copying the share link from YouTube, no different than I've always done.

Word of warning. Don't do what ive just done and used tar and glue remover on them to clean up the residue left behind by the sticky foam. It reacted badly with the perspex, causing cracks and fractures in them. In the bin now π‘

Black Westfield ZK/FW Sidescreens / Sidedoors
Craigieboy replied to Naranja_Al's topic in Parts for Sale
I've asked for pictures, but in the meantime, he used 2 roll cage clamps per side and drilled them to accept the screen hinge pins. He also runs a windscreen and wind deflectors, with cover the gap between the screen and cage. As you know we do long runs up here and he found this set up the most comfortable. He also has a half hood for the Scottish weather. Best part is that if the weather is good he can quickly remove the screens, fold them in half and tuck them between the seat backs and cage. -
