    Wiltshire Meeting August 21st 7pm

Hi Steve, probably a little far for a week night for me but good luck!! Always happy to head down the A31 if you do something at the weekend in future.
  4. I've been in contact with a couple of others that live in the area and we are going to have a trial meeting. Although I am calling it the Wiltshire meeting I want to try and fill the gap between Surrey, South Hampshire, Dorset and Bristol. We have decided to go to a local pub between Romsey and Andover called the Mayfly which is just outside Stockbridge. I don't think the pub would appreciate 100's of kit cars turning up without notice but if anyone else is interested in coming along let me know. Thanks, Steve.

  6. Two not so small upgrades: Replaced the fairly useless Mazda LSD with this: And fitted the PX600-box. Really lowered the noise which was the main point.

    What the postie brought today!

Just dropped you a PM The horizontal bar illuminates as a DRL, with dip above and beam below. Flat cut off for dip. Not tested at night yet but I do prefer the clear lens look. More modern feel Andy

  14. Got the local garage to replace the timing belt as I had no idea how old it was and for all I knew it could be original. It didn't look 16 years old but it was a Ford branded part so who knows? D

Hi Andy, are these just headlamp dipped and full-beam or do they have side lights incorporated? also where you get them from? Cheers Phil R

    Best thread repair- interesting comparison!

It's not unusual. Hispec do it with the current aluminium front uprights as part of their manufacturing process.
  17. Yeah, spotted that Mat - still deciding if I am definitely up for it (and if I do, is it camper van or boring motorways in a Lotus with no aircon 🤣)

Back in my air cooled VW days it was really common to helicoil (or equivalent) the highly stressed threaded holes in the aluminium block whether they needed it or not as a preventative measure. David

Good to know the chinese Helicoil are as good as the branded stuff, as I've used them on the whole exhaust side of the 1.8t cylinder head 😄 Nice video comparison btw
