There isnโt a section for returning users, so thought Startline was probably the best place to put this. For those of you who donโt know/remember me, Iโm Mat and was a member here 3-4 years ago - used to have a green 1.8 Zetec before Covid job loss forced me to sell. For those of you I have met up with previously - hello again, canโt wait to see you all. My partner will confirm Iโve been a right miserable and grumpy sod since selling up, and so delighted to report that Iโve finally managed to rectify the situation. Introducing the Jaffa Cake. A 2.0 Duratec SEiW Deal agreed today and will be collected this coming week at some point. Iโm based South Lincs, towards Peterborough. Looking forward to one of your run outs to some cake at some point @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative and @AndrewBClarke. Will be in touch with you too@Martin Bell - (Bellyboy) East Anglia AO as I think youโre my closest AO? Thanks Mat

We meet on the Wirral on the Saturday morning, and drive thru North Wales, aiming to get to Llandrindod Wells about tea time. Nice meal in the guest house, and a few scoops. Sunday morning, the Elan Valley calls, then home for tea time. Hope that suits. We can arrange a rendezvous on the Saturday, let me know if youโre up for this. Will be a great weekend. John. -
I ended up going to this last weekend and it turned out to be a pretty good event. Due to the theme previous years being Historic and now Retro the Westfield possibly wasn't the most suitable car to take along. It was too late to arrange anything much and initially I'd hoped to enter as part of the Thruxton car club. It turned out for now this was just a way to get more cars in to display but didn't get much interest. I did spot that Retro Rides were trying to get some cars along to take part at the last minute and took the Westfield and my daily Volvo 940. I didn't fancy sitting in sun all day and didn't really want the Westfield getting drenched so taking the Volvo meant I could also bring my pop up shelter, lots of drinks etc.

I was thinking of hiring Curborough for a half day for myself but could join this if numbers are low and you need more cars to make it viable. Date dependant of course .. we have lots planned already over the next 3 to 4 months -
Light / electric blue paint code
Peter (Monty) replied to Mat Jackson 1975's topic in The Start Line
Fair! My car is electric blue but I don't have any offcuts. I think @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman might have, when he reworked his scuttle bulkhead. That was a while ago though... -

Light / electric blue paint code
Peter (Monty) replied to Mat Jackson 1975's topic in The Start Line
If you don't have existing parts to colour match it with, surely you have more freedom to choose whatever shade of blue you like the most? -
Has anyone got any fibre glass off cuts of electric blue? Iโm looking to paint my car that colour and want to get a colour matchโฆ
