Last time I looked the weather seemed OK, keeping everything crossed in the hope it stays that way. I started up a Facebook group as a way of finding others living locally who might be interested as the club can't give out anyone's details. I've got 24 people on there who are interested in having a local meeting. Not all own Westfields and so far the only one apart from me that uses the forum is Stuart which is a bit of a shame. - Today

Hi Andy, yes it still for sale.
-
Looking to put it back to predominantly road use and the odd track day and sprint/hillclimb maybe. First stage of the lan is to get it onto a rolling road to sort the engine and to maybe replace the existing straight cut four speed gearbox. interior will need seats etc sorted but it’s a great looking project and a car I know the complete history of.

Nice. looks clean. What have you got planned?

I'm glad you relented and came anyway! -
Yes the pictures are excellent but don’t do it justice - it’s probably the best one I’ve ever seen. David is utterly meticulous and a really nice bloke. (that’s 3x pints you owe me now @DMc 😁)

I still miss my xflow prelit. Loved the sound of a xflow

Westfield 1800 Zetec For Sale - 2001 (X Plate)
Martin Burge replied to Martin Burge's topic in Westfields for Sale
Hi Rednop1, The CAT D was a result on me mounting a kerb about 12 years ago. Cracked a bottom wishbone (front o/s) and the V8 valance at the rear of the car. The assessor took the view they'd have to get a specialist to repair, despite me arguing that Wesfield are component cars and repairs would be simple. In the end we agreed that I could keep the car and get a payout. Repairs came to a grand total of £600 including the garage fees for fitting the wishbone and full alignment / geometry set up. Farcical! I didn't replace the V8 valance as it was the second that had been damaged due to limited ground clearance. Cheers, Martin
