Wow, what an opportunity! I well remember this car when Richard and Luke first built it. It is superb, and I don't remember any other car quite like it. The thought of driving it on the road.....what a giggle. My car was insane on the public road, and that had almost 60 bhp less, and would have been heavier.

Hi Paul, Our Saturday route starts on the Wirral, probably from the Tudor Rose. Then a drive down to Llandrindod Wells arriving in time for dinner at the Highland Moors guest house. Sunday we will visit the Elan Valley and Devil’s Bridge, before heading for home, hopefully back late afternoon. Jeff, our route guru, will put more info on here closer to the date so watch this space. There is a separate thread dedicated to the Welsh tour, have a look in this forum for Y Ddraig Goch. John. -

I know it’s 4.45am. As some of you will know I am now fully recovered from fracturing a vertebrae (wife pushed me off a ladder). Sadly this accident has left me unable to drive Nessie for longer than 15mins. Given this I can’t leave him in the stable distressed & I need to find a new pilot. (Will have MOT for daylight running). Accepting the market is at a low point (economic conditions). I’m willing to accept £18,500. God knows what the car cost to build & develop - my estimate over £40k. Caterhams with similar performance change hands for £40k+. We all know Westfields are a much better 7. Please only seriously interested purchases. Should Maverick (Top Gun student) not step forward then sadly & with a heavy heart I will break Nessie & sell off the components. I would far rather see Nessie live on & enjoy more exciting adventures. Cheers Simon And Richard/Luke– Westfield SuperTec - 628BHP per Tonne - car well known by Troy at NMS (mapped ECU ) he is happy to discuss spec etc. Let me know if you would like to contact him so he is expecting contact.

Richard Houlgate replied to djm's topic in 7s Speed Series / Hill Climbing / Racing
You are joking!! Its 140 miles from home to Castle Combe. The car is stripped out with no windscreen and is uncomfortable to drive on the road. It may be very fast but there is little opportunity to use the speed. It is certainly not a motorway cruiser. I'll arrive Friday evening, sleep in the trailer and drive back home Saturday after the event. -

I am interested in the Welsh tour in September...but I need a) details of exactly where and when to meet in Llandrindod, and b) the route in some form. I can visit my family in Monmouth and do this on my way home to Chester. Cheers! paulhale@talktalk.net -

I think they’re a slightly different shape, too. But be interesting to see how they compare. -
Are they the same size? I thought fixed arches were narrower? I need some as well so interested to find out.
