Good to catch up with the chaps for the Fish & Chip run to Teignmouth this evening. Very different weather to last year when it poured down, and I forgot my cover ๐คช -

@Callum 7 Just a thought, but are there any club members that are closer to your intended purchase that might be able to go and check it over before you part with any money?

Maybe you could make some in Carbon..then the carbon hungry boys on here might want to buy some to get their carbon fix!

I filled the CPVC pipe with expanding foam to surround the steel pipe that goes through the center and provide some rigidity.
-
Huh, joker eh! They served a purpose and allowed it to pass inspection!! Joke really, but now they must come off!! Yes they are just 2" CPVC waste pipe with 1/2" black pipe frame and supports. Worked really well.
-
agreed!!! However they were good enough to pass the inspection!! Onwards!!

All chatter is on the Wirral and North Wales WhatsApp group. Let me have your mobile number if you want to join. -
Thatโs an Seight of the highest order, we have a FB group for Seights and their owners and we would love you to join us if you would like. Loads of owners on there and a wealth of knowledge and experience. PS if there are any other Seight owners who would like to join youโre more than welcome.๐

How the hell did they ever get all that into a Westie! Amazing.

Ooooh I like that! What a beastie ๐

As Captain said, prepare and give them your expectations and sound rational. I too have been through the pain with a tin top and did just that, list of cars with similar mileages, specs and ages. they could not really argue too much once the evidence was provided. it may be quite easy with a factory spec Mondeo but as it's potentially difficult to find an exact match for a Westi you may have to provide some higher and lower spec cars and justify where yours sits. You may even be able to talk to people like toy box on the likely price they'd be selling a car of that spec for. good luck

Nope nor me. The 0 of the 50 on the letterbox? The satellite dish on the side of the house? -

And this is Westfield House, (yes, the very place in Armitage) that gave its name - for the eagle eyed amongst you, may even spot the inspiration for the "sunburst logo". -
@Martin Hewes AO Surrey can you introduce @AwB to the Surrey crowd
-
Thanks for the messages folks. Not so many Westfields on the roads near me (Haslemere, Surrey), but I did pass a red one with Toybox stripes on my second run, with lots of enthusiastic waving from my daughter and I. So far a source of many grins, particularly with passing traffic heading towards Goodwood FOS this weekend. I'm still going through all of the build details, layout sketches, hand-drawn loom design etc, which is all present if not chaotically "organised" in box files. Love it. I'm a complete nerd for this stuff, but I have a feeling I'm in good company! The original build got a little write-up in PH, back in the day, and there's been quite a few improvements since... and only 11k miles https://www.pistonheads.com/news/clubmans-pistonheads/super-westie/5524

I read something elsewhere and it reminded me there is such a thing as an age related plate if enough parts were used from a single donor. I think the make and model should be the make of the kit car not the donor though.
