Hey ho it’s been a while 🙄 In 2020 we were heading for New Zealand then COVID struck, all our travel plans went down the pan,🙄 we were stranded in Australia for three weeks until we managed to get a flight home, 😀 Well we finally fixed it and my tee shirt came too🫣 Oh yeah and a tour cap 😎 - Yesterday

Captain Colonial replied to Vorix's topic in Membership Information ONLY
@Vorix and @Mathew Vernon - Membership Secretary I’ve sorted it out, backstage error. A refund of £10 should come through in 4-5 working days, and I’ve added the 30 days you were due from your existing 60 day package to your annual membership package, taking you to 20 October 2026. -

Is the front ARB up for sale too? If so, I'm interested -
Not as much snow as I expected. I put the snow tyres on the Audi at the weekend only to discover that I had forgotten that there was a massive puncture in one that I had suffered last spring and that I had totally forgotten about. Seems that snow tyres are a little hard to come by just at the moment 😟

Brave man. I put the winter wheels on the Mx5 today and reminded myself just how good they are.

Just a quick heads up to our fellow member @Rednop1. After thinking for quite a while, in May I've pulled the plug and messaged Ash to order a carbon bonnet and nose. It was a difficult request for him, as the lot needed to be shipped over to Italy, and I can tell you, it's not easy to ship such large parts outside the UK post-Brexit. He kindly agreed, and two days ago those beauties showed up at my house: They were packed like nothing else I've ever bought, could have been around the world a few times without getting a single scratch. He even messaged me a couple of months ago about my bonnet which was ready, however it showed a small imperfection, and he offered me a discount or to redo the part if I wasn't in a hurry. Top guy, top parts and top service. Couldn't ask for more.

There was a supercharged, track prepped but road legal MX5 for sale at auction recently. I have to say it looked fab and the spec was amazing. I would say it could have been the most perfect combo of daily drive, weekend open-top toy and track day fun all in one package that I've seen in a very long time, maybe ever! Update: found it. £16k I think that's a good deal https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/auction/19342801 -

Thank for the heads-up about Zen Graphics. I've just ordered some of these for my wheels also. Plus some of their other decals, for my Alpine, Lambo and Peugeot. What a useful website that is! -

It’s all part of the raw driving experience for me. If you want comfort and a quiet relaxed drive stick with a tin top. I still get excited every time I get the westfield out. Iam about to go aero screen and full cage after 16,000 miles/ 4 years of screen/doors which was only ever really comfortable wind wise with the doors on. Only reason for the cage, a bit more side protection in the event of an accident and front protection if I did hit a deer or something on an early morning blat. The reason for the aero screen, better visibility as the screen/side door windows gets misty and dirty and I struggle to see with the sun glare at times. -
I look over the top of the wrap-around screen on my XI but I always wear goggles and a beanie/ flying helmet. I can get pebble-dashed with sand if following a tipper lorry, and the cockpit collects leaves on country lanes. Tbh, other drivers give me a wide berth and show much more respect than when I'm in my tin-top. The main concern is when some drivers just don't see me at all, but driving defensively is the order of the day when there's other vehicles about.
