Certainly an image not front recent driving, but better late… This one taken from a photographer in the Dolomites early last September during a long weekend activity. The photographer took this one while we drove up to Passo Giau…

Hello all, I am not sure how I didn't find this forum a while ago when I purchased my Westfield last year but here I am! I have a 1990 SE across the pond in the US and I am in the process of rebuilding the car to a drivable state. (I'd love to upload an image here but it appears I can only attach images through URL's, what's the proffered method for doing this here?) My Westfield started its life in California with the soul from a first generation Ford Capri as the donor car. It presumably lived this way until the previous owner had unfortunately blown up the old cologne 2.6 that was in it. I believe it has a type 9 5 speed transmission and I can't remember off of the top of my head the specific rear end. In the US there isn't really any aftermarket for the cologne V6s, especially the very rare 2.6L so finding parts to rebuild proved to be quite difficult. At the end of the day I would have a quite heavy 100hp at best boat anchor. This lead me to sell the 2 cologne motors (One was blown up and the other needed machine work done as well) to a very happy first generation capri owner. Now I am planning to go to a BEC route, I am thinking of going the Hayabusa as I presume there might be some existing megabusa parts floating around out there. If not, I know the aftermarket for the busa is quite extensive so its likely that someone else makes what I am looking for besides very Westfield specific parts. I still have a few other projects ahead of the Westfield unfortunately, but I am determined to liquidate some of them to get the cash and time to focus on this for 2026. However I would like to get a head start on the parts list needed to make this project a success, and I have a few questions. One of the main concerns of things I likely wont be able to make myself is the headers, does anyone have a megabusa header lying around that they wouldn't mind parting with? Or know which aftermarket header is most Westfield friendly? Honestly if there is a good place to find the driveshaft items (spline adapter and preffered driveshaft to use as a donor?) I've seen people using E46 driveshafts for this, that would be convenient as between myself and my friends we have a lot of E46 and E36 parts and cars lying around. I also need seats, my car unfortunately came without them. I see someone here has a Tillett B3.5 for sale. Is that something you would recommend for both the driver and passenger? I imagine my fiancé would prefer a more comfort oriented option if possible, however I do imagine that is a tall ask for something like this. I know it'll never be her favorite car lol. Thanks in advance, I'll definitely have more questions after I get off of work. Just figured I'd write something simple on my lunch break after I got the account activation email!

Hi, happy for you to purchase these so let me know how you wish to pay? Regards Lester -
In nearly 30 years I've never applied any chassis protection apart from localised touch up. I've only repainted the front and rear wishbones a number of times.

I based mine on not having a garage local car storage facility would cost over £1000 for 4 months storage if my carcoon only lasted 3 years that would be £200 per year as it cost £600 to me that's a huge saving then buy another.

thanks for your advice Ian, who can forget this moment when the inside tyre was about to lift Secondly, I'm planning to fit 250lb rear and 375lb front springs since I mostly travel with a passenger. (now I'running 200/300)

Good work Matteo. You'll notice a vast difference in cornering with working shocks! -
I'm still waiting for the definitive screw to be the delivered this week, but this is how the diy front arb will looks like. If anyone is looking for a front arb to fit fw/widebody chassis with rally design wide track suspension set-up, I can share the updated design for free on request. In the meantime, the protech schocks have been completely serviced, and the damper screw has been properly calibrated (some of my shocks were not damping at all even with the screw "closed").

Hello and welcome. Car looks ace, can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Carcoon is great with its double layer skin. This is as I understand what prevents moisrure and condensation Inside. IT really works! Until outler layer degrade and tear apart. And it will. Also this plastic zip is no good. I am currently testing much cheaper chinesse car bubble one layer but with stronger fans and much more durable but heavy layer . Zipper is much better that i can tell. But not sure how one layer design will work re rust on discs etc. During summer and autum IT was the same as in carcoon . Will share after winter and snow .

Morgan Factory tour combined with Malvern show weekend
AndyD-Yellow Peril replied to Mike Rowland - Essex AO's topic in Places to Visit and Road Trips
Interested to see how you enjoy your factory tour. Witnessing parts being hand made during the manufacturing process is quite different but also similar to what I am familiar with at Bentley! Morgan focus is on customer specification being open to their colour scheme, both interior and exterior is aligned to Bentley. It is when you see bodywork parts being made, that’s different. Bonnets and spare wheel covers made adjacent to the car in production. Loved seeing that. Andy
