Thanks all -
Hi Ashley. How much are you wanting for your tank? A new one may be out of my price range.

Having a wee sort out of bits and came across these in a box. In average condition. £15 collected from KY12 Fife or £20 posted. Cheers, Phil

MOT today. All good, ready for another 300 miles….thankfully I get MOTs for free!! eta…. Long story short, due to the combination of GSXR600 ITBs, a stock engine that generates a lot of suck and a very early ECU that has fixed load sites, the car occasionally pops & bangs on very slight throttle. Found myself pondering the cost of a new Emerald K6+ after the MOT run yesterday. Sadly, the current ECU is too old to benefit from the rather generous Emerald upgrade offers so it has to be a new ECU. I should have just bought the one Karl temporarily set up on the car that proved and then cured the issue when we had it mapped all those years ago. -
Cheers guys..

Replacement chrome ferrule that fits under the Westfield polished Ali gear knob
KevanP replied to KevanP's topic in Parts Wanted
Just looked. A bit pricey, especially as I only need the ferrule. But thanks for letting me know -
Hi Ash, I would have been interested, but the price is rather high, bearing in mind a new one (minus westfield laser etch) is £32. Plus, I only need the ferrule. I've got two of these gear knobs already with one knackered ferrule.

Lovely job Mike Looks like you made them from thinner Polycarbonate than me. Good shout as I think mine are a bit on the heavy side (thickness wise).

I have an MT75 set in Navy

A day left unsupervised, so tried to do some of the Northumberland 250 route. I went Warkworth to Blanchland. Got a bit lost. I need a better app for routes. Google maps kept trying to send me back to Alnwick. It didnt automatically tick destinations off. But an enjoyable 130 mile run out.

Went to Blyton twice last year in my westy. Loadsa fun but had setup issues with my suspension. After 1st time i stiffened the springs a bit thinking it would make quite a difference but still found it hard to turn in. Will have to keep experimenting i think. Good track though for the Westies

My roll cage windscreen has worked well for some years now, so I fancied adding windscreen deflectors using a similar clamp idea( @KevanP has done similar). Nearly as much weather protection as I had 30 years ago oh well

Happy birthday Glynn, have a great day, love from Glen and Julie xxx -
Having just sold my SEiGHT I'm selling off some now spare bits and pieces. I have an unused full hood, in black, available. It has never been used or even fitted - in fact, it's not even had the poppers fitted (so you can locate/fit them to ensure they line up correctly on your own car). Where the fabric runs into the plastic channel at the front, it has come away at the edges so needs re-gluing. Not a big deal, but thought I'd mention it. Open to offers, circa £300. Can be collected from me in Dorset, or I can box and despatch it at £20 for a UK mainland delivery.

Hopefully nothing too bad.. Good job you are experienced at getting engine in and out!

Happy bday mate. Ian & Ali. -
You may have stripped some lining off the clutch disc. Similar happened to me years ago. Flat out in 2nd, went for 3rd, got 1st instead. Large pieces of lining went into the springs of the cover, and jammed it up properly. Extreme vibration. Lucky the over-rev didn't hurt the motor.
-
Not entirely sure yet, but my clutch has given up the ghost. It started slipping coming out of the Esses in 3rd and 4th gear. A couple of laps later chasing a 420R, something went, resulting in a bad vibration through the gearstick / tunnel and gear selection become very difficult.
