Peak District Run Out, Sun 26th Oct, Car Museum 10am
Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative replied to Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative 's topic in Local Area Meets, Events & Kit Car Shows
Peak District AO here, you think that I would be in charge? no no, not while this lot are around. I was finishing early today because it's raining and going dark at 5, these nutter's tell me, 'these cars have light's don't they?' 'we need more cake' and that's on the ladies table!! We met at the museum, setting off in glorious but freezing sunshine. Glynn's Porsche sounded awesome. Andy Westwood's Westfield is called Precious for a reason!! so he donned his t-shirt and came in the SLK Breakfast in the car museum We came out of the museum to rain, we had already put our roof's on. I had expected everyone to want to head off home, but no, so off we went. It stayed dry so we went through Chatsworth, following the coach from hell, never went above 15 mph. Thankfully we turned up onto Owler Bar, round and to The Cow Shed at Tideswell, where it was now raining. More breakfast Mr Westwood, how many can you eat in one day? The BOY's table. The 'bella bella' table, I mean GIRL's table Him again, Mr Westwood with the first cake of the day A bit of smart parking from Andy Gilbert and Ian at the Cow Shed. Sun's out! Sun's NOT out! Forced I was, forced, to go to The Smithy, Monyash for cake, even though it was raining and already turning dark. The other Andy, Mr Clarke this time, with warmed Apple cake and ice cream, watch out Martin, someone will steal yours!! Mr Westwood AGAIN! more cake Cosy inside The Smithy Andy and Becky with their offering A fantastic day out, we had a laugh, wrote a romantic novel and travelled the world, thanks for coming everyone. For the SORN brigade, don't leave it until next March to come and see us, for the rest of you, see you next time XXXXXXX - Today

Iam going to be doing a few winter upgrades (fitting roll cage) and have a few bits which will be surplus… The first one- Soft bits for sevens half hood roof for wide body MSA roll bar. - Twin zipper (a must have!) - the nice heavy duty bag - the two soft bits roof bars (Purchased new from soft bits, couple of years only old used a few times, good condition) £450 save the long lead time! Grab it before the weather changes! Such nice quality, I’d keep it but it won’t fit the roll cage… I did a little YouTube review when i got the roof, will find the link… collection from Kent (CT14) or may be able to post for a bit extra Early bird alert! bits to follow- MSA roll bar (wide body), black side doors and Soft bits storm cover for MSA bar (wide body)

Hi Ross. Are these seats still available? -
Welcome Paul, the car looks superb but that Grin is priceless & I think you get them free of charge when you buy your first Westy & have to wear it every time you think, look at or drive it. Happy motoring 🙏

Hiya all, since owning my SEight I’ve pondered what the long term future of the Petrol Engine or more to it “sustainable fuel” will be, but I’ve not worried about it for too long, as I can use it in the now. But having worked/supported 13 yrs at JLR in their EMC (engine manu ctr) now known as their EPMC (electric propulsion manu ctr) in Wolves, seeing the mass reduction in ICE engine output becoming EDU’s for EV’s, you see first hand the government/eco warrior led direction of the biggest UK vehicle manufacturer forced away from ICE over to the EV revolution. However, I read the following article that seems to give me hope, that I can leave my Westy to my grandson (he’s only 2 bless him 🥰) in the future, with the hope he’ll join the WSCC in years to come & drive it & correspond with all your kids & grandkids long after I’m gone to the big Westy garage in the sky. https://www.supercar-driver.com/blog/the-future-is-synthetic-but-dont-panic-just-yet#:~:text=But the plan is to,Brace yourself. Would be interested to hear if anyone has knowledge of developments, timing, UK infrastructure for alternate fuels via their work or motorsport, that gives us a glimpse of the future of E85 or whatever the synthetic fuel becomes know as to buy from my local BP and drive off with a rumble + spit & bang on the A5 in Staffordshire?
