Good afternoon everybody, I was thinking about touching up the scratches on my Westfield but I don't know what colour it is. Is there a number somewhere on the car? or does anyone know how to match the colour properly? I think it's close to British Racing Green - but not quite. Any help would be appreciated Peter ( Chug)

I am finding it strangely difficult to fine one of these. Does anyone have a spare one that they are willing to sell? Many Thanks,

As soon as I read that I knew you were a local boy! 😂 Doesn't look like you are in our Bristol and Bath WhatsApp group though @mikef?

I randomly drove past that air field instead going main road way around. Also to break trip up and I wanted to be nosey at planes and couldn't believe they had Vulcan airplane there. I was on road trip to Le man 2025 heading to Café & Machine, Clarkson's Farm/pub lol.

We used to make the Nissan Primera GT for Japan. As well we made the same car for 70+ countries. There was a sister plant in Japan making the Primera and other cars. They sent jap spec parts to the UK. We would assemble the car with a huge amount effort to ensure that the car was 110% as best it could be. Fit a sticker on the front fenders "made in the UK 🇬🇧" ship it back to Japan. Only GT models were made. There was a TV in the centre infotainment screen that was illegal in EU countries but not out there. I guess it was traffic jams and low speed making safer. In general tho they were built better. We did underseal all cars except cars to some desert places where the underseal would attract sand. (it's actually a wax thats used). The jap culture is very into the cosmetics of the car first and the function 2nd. So buying one might be a good deal

Hadz started following HANS Device

This is what I run… you put a lot of money into the car, track days and your personal safety should come first. Yes take some getting used to, but after watching club motor sport and if it goes wrong your head is a dead weight and over extension of your neck is game over! It also pins you in your seat a lot better.

YES you can't imagine how much the body will stretch/deform under accident conditions Long before hans, a friend got punted into the wall in an RX-7. When we belted him in, helmet could not get close to the roll cage, maybe 3-4" clearance He got a concussion and cracked helmet 2 years ago at a vintage race, some dolt in a formula ford tried to win the race in turn one, first lap took out at least 2 others, one of which went OVER the tire wall, which is not close to the track absolutely totaled the car, but driver walked away with bruises and cracked helmet, thanks to HANS

Probably counts as cheating. Like taking steroids for the Olympics, a totally unfair advantage 😂

I have a windscreen and was wearing a beanie hat when an acorn clouted me on the forehead last year. I was doing about 50 mph and It must have fallen at just the right moment to miss the windscreen and it was a case of me hitting it rather than it hitting me. I had no idea what it was until I pulled over and found it in the footwell. Even though it hit the beanie, it left a nasty bruise and didn't half make I jump.

So very sad. My sincere condolences. -
I do. Can be a bit of a faff if you don't have 2 inch hans harnesses. I have a schroth one. Fits well. My advice would be to go and try one on. I got mine from rallynuts because I could try different sizes

Question for the track day goers amongst us, do you wear a HANS device when on track? After my recent cycling accident, I am thinking of purchasing one to make things as safe as possible when on track. My helmet has HANS mounting posts so I think it is a no brainer really…

Replaced this earlier in the year hoping it would resolve the fuel tank vacuum sucking, but it made no difference having the new one fitted. So this should still function as expected. £5 including postage
