Saw you today at Castle Combe! I think you half waved at me as you were trundling down the entry road from Avon Bridge to go on track but I may have imagined that 😂 I'm not sure if we've met before, I've met so many kit owners know that I do sometimes forget who's who! It was blooming hot wasn't it! Everyone seemed to have a good day though, hope you went well?

God I hate that when you can't stay with the car, I actually get anxiety most times, pacing around like an expectant father. Luckily my usual MOT guy actually wants me to stay sat in the car! Unfortunately he's flipping retired 😭 View from up top of the 4 post lift last MOT 😂😂 I'll probably never get to do that again 😥 -

Yes its nice to stay with your car whilst getting my megablade mot done i was asked to go in the waiting room until I heard this alarming revving, crunching and grinding noise coming from the workshop so I rushed in to find a young lad who looked about 14 trying to work out how to use the westfield reverse gearbox so I promptly turned the key of and asked him to remove himself from the car and he agreed maybe it would be better if I done the brake test outside it passed -
Is this any good ? It came with a Westfield supplied half hood, opening is on end with toggle and it has one Velcro loop

And....... breathe!!! The red rocket has a fresh MOT! She had been laid up for 4 months due to work and family commitments (so needed a few quid thrown at her) but I'm so pleased my happy place is back on the road!!! -
Looking for a full hood bag, soft bits never seem to restock. Let me know if anyone has one going for sale. Thanks

Welcome Rob. That's a cracking looking car, and orange is definitely the fastest colour! @Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset is the Area Organiser for Devon and will be able to give details of the various meets. I believe they have a regular meeting on the 4th Thursday of the month - details below -
Hello All, Some of you may have seen a nice orange over black FW that Toy Box sold a couple weeks back. Well that was me buying it, I am returning from my job overseas on the weekend and was wondering if there are any Westfield meets happening in the next few weeks. I am based in South Devon and am keen to meet other owners etc. Thanks Rob

MoT passed this morning - at a new garage because I've moved 120 miles. Car 25 years old and I think must've been one of the first ones with a cat (which needs to be HOT), so I'm pretty relieved. My old place was brilliant - they'd even let me postpone if it rained on MoT day. New one seems friendly enough but I don't get to stay with the car anymore..... -

I had a similar experience great piece of brick, did not see it until too late, but a dirty great dent in the passenger side steel lowered floor. I've very glad it was not the same place though on the driver side as that is where the brake and fuel lines run. If I referb or build another Westi I'd not route them as guided they would be all down the tunnel sides. -
At some point I’ll make a decent clip or two out on a run… in the meantime here’s one for the neighbours!

I've been running chunks of what I think was concrete over, although it could've been a brick or chunk of kerbstone. I couldn't see it until the very last moment as it was the same colour as the road and in dappled shade, although I certainly felt it as it bounced the car into the air! I'm damn glad I didn't go over it a few inches to the right, as I suspect at least the sump and oil pump would've been trashed. Guess I get to practice my aluminum and steel working skills some more in the near future...... -
I’d love to join you guys on the 1st but I’ve already got an eye on 3rd. My mate is taking his Fiesta ST240 for the day testing, along with an x-touring car driver for tuition….. I’ll pop along in some capacity, even if it’s just to say ‘Hi’!
