    Oulton Park 7th March

Had a pop up to Oulton Park today for a look about. This Westfield caught my attention, talking to the owner Quentin, turns out it had been in storage for over 10years and was last raced in the BARC Westfield championship.

Today we did a 150 mile Historic Rally around Cheshire, including 10 special stages, four of which were on the Oulton Park rally circuit. Good fun, but pretty intense. The Westfield was too new to enter, so we used the Spitfire. Good job too, judging by the number of times we grounded!

Kit Car event at The Motorist. 14th March.

One week to go. I've not heard back from the Motorist since I was told that we are in front of the restaurant, turn first right after entering. There should be marshells on to direct you, just say you're with the Westfields and they'll direct you. I'm hoping to get there for 9. Hopefully the weather will be good and not raining. See you there.

Wheel colour change for the summer. Satin black to satin bronze. Think it looks good against the green
  12. Here we have a pair of original Westfield doors for a narrow body. They are in good used condition. There are a few marks on them having been stored for a while. - the window transparent plastic is nice and clear. Would prefer local collection from Bishops Waltham (Southampton) so you can get eyes on them to make sure they are what you want. Else, Please get in contact and we can arrange postage. Looking for £160, and probably £20 to post. Any questions, please just post or call 07760318922
  13. Either a rain hood or a half cover (cockpit area) wanted, mainly to keep out prying eyes whilst parked in town. Not to worried if if it has rips or tear.

Westfield widebody windscreen Used but not done many miles until taken from the car and garage stored Westfield early widebody screen pillars so the dont have the casting for the mirrors ideal for somebody that wants to run a screen and cage . One small crack in the cast on the passengers (uk) pillar but its still very useable and you will hardly see it when on the car Collection only £200 for all the above

Camp Carrot 🥕 NC500 and to stake claim to the Haggis

That will be an awesome trip. There is a small group of mixed kits located across the central belt between Glasgow, Edinburgh and Fife. Three Westfields, MK, Raptor etc that meet for up for drives now and again. Maybe we could meet up at some point if everything aligned. A run up to Braemar would be awesome. All the best Andy

  20. As always in life — “it depends.” A roll cage without a helmet and proper padding foam can actually be quite unsafe. On the other hand, in the event of a rollover, if the safety belts are tightened really, really tight, it does work — see Westfield Cup Racing at Zandvoort.

Anyone else joining us at GBS tomorrow? The home-made cakes are excellent!
  25. Took my road Westfield out of the Chinese Car Bubble after winter. I did not touch the bubble except for removing snow (the Car Bubble and Carcoon collapse in the same way under fresh snow). Looks like the bubble worked very well. I also added a regular old car cover (creating something like a two-layer cover inside, not connected to the bubble). So – the disc brakes are shiny and clean, completely rust-free, just like in a Carcoon. Battery was disconnected with kill switch, alarm disabled. No battery charging (18Ah gel type motorcycle rgular battery ) Engine started on one key turn like I left it yesterday Driving was great, little cold, but great!
  26. put my rollcage on yesterday the lads at my local meet said it would be much safer than my rac bar not so sure about that banged my head on it 3 times already just doing some work on the interior.

Took a wee spin over to JP Exhausts for them to make a link pipe to fit the new silencer on. Well recommended and seem to know what they’re on about, so hoping for a neat job. Means the Westfield is out of action for a few days, but that’s no problem as we’re doing the Tour of Cheshire regularity rally on Saturday in the Spitfire
