  1. Past hour
  2. It's taxed, mot, and ready for another long journey😁

1999 Westfield SEiW - S2000 Engine - Less than 1,000miles since full rebuild

You'd need to keep it registered in UK and visit UK for MOT each year. A former member did similar with a Sport 250. He worked in Barcelona.
  4. I know...wish I could take it with but looks like the Spanish authorities are very strict when it comes to 'modifications' and ITV (MOT)...from what I've read online it sounds like it would be a nightmare to get it on the road 😶
  5. Hi! I've not managed to get along to the monthly Thursday meets in ages so looking forward to seeing you all this week! As normal, we are at the Clock Warehouse in Shardlow (DE72 2GL) at about 7pm. We normally park in the lower car park (to the right of the pub) and we will be meeting upstairs as always. Hope to see you there! Rob
  6. A Westfield would make for a great weekend car year around in Spain
  7. Moving to Spain at the beginning of September... I'm able to store the car at my Father-in-law's garage...but would ideally like it gone before the end of this month...save a bit of hassle. Open to offers

What an amazing looking track facility you have. Do you have to travel far to reach it.

That look like a lot of fun Paul.

Cheshire and N. Staffs Area Meet, Thursday 7th August, 7.30pm

Surely with your agricultural education, you must have covered weather and geography too? How does a mild storm in Scotland today impact us in Cheshire on Thu 😉 Given you won't be the first there due to your afternoon nap, the roads will be lovely and dry! #noSORNinAugust goodness me! I'll be there in my Westfield come rain or shine!

Please be more considerate, he’s not got his Westfield Rocket ship anymore and prefers life at a slower pace 😎

Braving the 'Chelsea Tractors' in Radlett (South Herts) to do the fish n' chips run. Lovely evening for a drive though 🙂.

Yesterday was epic — six sessions, 15 minutes each, proper time attack fun. Car felt great after some recent tweaks (brake pump and geometry mods doing their job!). Came into today feeling good (started on hot tyes - thaks to aliexpress tyre blankets , confident from start slicks , had a solid sprint… and then on end of second sprint , well — a little off, snapped a wishbone. Nothing major, just didn’t have a spare one at the track. Weekend cut a bit short, but still a blast overall. No complaints (poor sound - exept for spare wishbones, fogot Gopro adapter for external mic )
  19. John Dolan - Wirral & North Wales AO

    Another clearout.

The exhaust guard will be at Tuesday's meeting at Ego.

Let’s hope the storm due is clear for Thursday. 🤪 Hope to be there in Westie Andy
  24. It’s our Area Meet this Thursday, at the Golden Pheasant, Plumley. 7pm roughly, if eating, 7.30pm otherwise! See you there…

Going back to the digital read out, I should have added that it was actually a digital thermostat for both oil and water cooling rad fans. Quite a neat solution, as you can set activation temperature and hysteresis values. The box is DIY and includes two xh-w1315 (AliExpress special) kit control boards together: https://electropeak.com/xh-w1315-high-temperature-digital-thermostat?srsltid=AfmBOorMKrdA1GJeX1nspiAbpJLXNow6hqS-zdJ2-EXh4giarw-8U1Bf But… I’ve run into a problem. At some point during a run, the box stops controlling the fans, shows a very helpful error code (E1) and temperatures shoot up when slow moving. Luckily there is an override switch for the water radiator at least. I think I have worked out why - the on-board relay is rated at 10A, and the previous owner had upped the fan to a whopping 16” SPAL (https://www.performanceairflow.co.uk/itm/16-407mm-Fans/SPAL-16-407mm-Cooling-Fan-VA18-AP70-LL-86A-12v-1918-cfm-Pulling/30102120A), perhaps without considering that it’s rated current draw is 18A. So the cheapo boards might have some form of thermal protection kicking in. So I have two options: 1) use the existing box to control higher rated relays for fan switching (more wiring spaghetti) 2) change the fan control setup completely. What do others use to control their fans and fan speeds? I quite like the idea of converting to PWM control, as the SPAL on a simple on/off switch sounds like a jet engine (on top of the V8 grumble, the blower, and K&N intake) but I don’t really want to overcomplicate an already tightly packed area.

Interesting you have been into Central Garages Brixham, I bought this from the workshop technician about 15 years ago.
