    Fuel line replacement advice

Some pics would help, but your proposal sounds sensible. I'd use gates. When I swapped my factory hoses for Gates- it was quite a job to pull the old hoses off over the flared ends. Perhaps try the same with yours without the flare and if it comes off easily, you'll need to flare it. Just make sure it's all clipped securely to avoid contact with prop shaft/drive shafts etc.
  4. During winter tinkering, I've discovered that a small section of the metal fuel line has been damaged/squashed slightly. It's at the end of the fuel line run just as it bends up from propshaft area and connects to rubber hose to go over the rear diff to the fuel filter. It's not been affecting the running of the car so can't be too bad. Nevertheless, I'm going to replace. Im thinking of cutting the squashed section out and replacing with new metal fuel pipe. Then continue on with rubber as it is now. Is that acceptable? If so assume I need to flare the old pipe once cut and put in a joint to the new section. Is this correct? When I reconnect the rubber pipe to the new metal pipe should this go over the new metal pipe as is and clamped with a fuel pipe clamp or should I flare the the end before the rubber hose goes on and then clamp? I'm also going to replace the rubber fuel lines back to the fuel tank. Belt and braces tbh. They look fine, but whilst it's all apart it makes sense to replace. Should I replace the rubber with gates fuel hose or use the steel braided type? If braided any recommendations of type and best way to cut and finish the ends? Alternatively I could go AN fittings but maybe overkill? Welcome thoughts/advice TIA.

    Home networking help/advice needed.

Ok cool. 2 mins is a long time to wait for a user to report a wifi issue in my experience 😄
  8. My apologies, my mistake, you are correct. It’s going to be called the BRDC Classic now, from 24-26 July. Not much info yet, though. My wedding anniversary is right in the middle of that, too. Best start collecting cred points now…

Silverstone Festival replaced by CarFest 28-30 August

Hi Scott, The CarFest replaces the Silverstone Festival but the return of the reimagined Silverstone classic is a week or two before. This is for the car clubs. As yet, I am unaware of the organiser of the new Silverstone classic event, but we are still hopeful of a parade lap once they are in place. @Martin Aldred - Shows & Events Coordinator Do you know anything different?
  12. While that might be a great time out for those interested, there’s no mention (yet) of car clubs at all. Reluctantly and sadly, I fear there will be no club 40th anniversary parade lap around Silverstone this year - a real pity. ☹️

Where in Ireland ? Pre-brexit we hired a van got the cheapest ferry to Rosslare (collection was local ) and it was cheaper than delivery . Customs changes may have made it more complex and ferry prices seem a lot higher
