Car helmet - what do you use..
Rob Hunter - Club Secretary replied to Mat Jackson 1975's topic in The Start Line
My car has an aeroscreen, pretty much always wear a helmet in mine. Mind you, I'm far more photogenic with a helmet and dark visor 😂 -
Funny enough that scenario was discussed amongst the group - as a joke of course 😉

Been meaning to get this picture for a while now - just wish I’d brought some bits along to clean the sign and clear the foliage!

Wanted , nice steering wheel , Ideally with quick release , Thanks .

Asking completely out of interest, and i'm genuinely curious.... Roughly what percentage of owners typically do you think use helmets, I rarely see them in photos that are posted and I hadn't considered it myself until I read this thread. Sounds like something I'd consider.

I've fitted the mower blades for the green bits -
Nice! I will be driving a few over the next 6 months or so, see if one is for me or not. Am actually considering the entry level TVR, a Chimaera. Mainly as I really want something more comfy for touring.

Japanese cars aren't undersealed as a rule as no salt used on the roads over there...at least that used to be the case. I imported an imprezza in 2000 and had to get the speedo converted to mph, a rear fog light fitted and the 110mph limiter negated. Plus of course registered and motd...

Flying Carrot Steve started following Euro breakdown cover ***sorted

Take a set of duplicate plates for another car in your group (if you have one) who does have breakdown cover, if you break down, stick them on yours, the bloke picking the car up will never know! Don't ask me how I know this. (It was a long time ago, I was young and stupid) 😂 I'm kidding of course. Probably illegal 😬

And orange is fast 😂🟠🟠🟠🟠🟠🟠 -
Yes they are definitely not the same thing, but are they generally considered better or worse than a UK equivalent? I'm guessing it will depend upon the particular car and also age? I'm after a TVR one day and had considered getting a Japanese one imported. GRP so not sure if the same thing would apply re parts and body panels etc?

After a number of issues since a fresh engine, gearbox and chassis rebuild. Just finished refitting the engine and gearbox after repairs to both. Also fitted a new propshaft and various other bits and pieces. Just in time for tomorrow's trackday! 🤞😀 -
All sorted now Terry, cheers 👍
