Flying Carrot Steve started following Hello.. new member from north Wales and A714 Newton Stewart to Girvin
-
This morning I drove the A714 from Newton Stewart to Girvin. Unfortunately not in my Westfield. But what a fantastic road. 20 miles of twisty road with perfect tarmac and nothing else on the road at 930 on a Monday morning. Oh and the views aren't bad either ! If you visiting the Galloway Forrest or close by, it's a fab run

I didn’t fit mine but I have removed it which seemed pretty easy. I’m sure others will come along who have fitted one and confirm either way. Either way I’ve attached Raceline’s instructions for you. It might be worth taking a look at BLiNK Motorsports instructions too (attached) and decide whether you want to run a header tank or expansion tank should you decide to fit a water rail. Instruct - Water Rail Fitting 2.doc Raceline WaterRail (BLiNK Logo).pdf The coolant temperature sensor fits on the back of the head in the rail. The rail comes with a couple of 1/8” NPT tapped holes for this purpose. -

Hello I'm luke rom north Wales a new member just acquired my first Westfield this week, must say i love it not surer why i haven't had one sooner after owning a variety of cars, i have joined the forum to gather as much information as possible as i don't know an awful lot. the car is a 2001 seiw in green has a red top engine and it goes really well i don't know to much regarding the engine itself i was told its had a fresh build a couple years ago with pistons etc.. and been told it has uprated cams but not sure as he didn't know and no receipts. i look forward to learning about the car and getting out in it next summer its a bad time to get one coming into winter but I'm very impulsive and once ide seen it had to have it

Bought for my recent expansion bottle upgrade, not needed. Dry fitted only so as new. £10.00 inc postage costs or ono. -
Well Charlie, I'm using the Blacktop cam cover disguised as a Lotus Twincam cover. The smoother cover of the blacktop lends itself better to this than the heavily profiled Silvertop. Simple as that really !!

@Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AOI'm on up to date Windows 10 with up to date browsers. Never happened before but started after a crap clean and reboot. You know that I'm an old fart but I am fairly IT savvy and I can't figure it -

I'm pretty sure it's the factory's ex-SwiftTune car. Lovely thing, but nothing to do with the XV. -
Just in case there are any doubters out there- I am still alive, I still have the car, it's still fantastic fun and it still makes me grin stupidly. Even better, my youngest (6) thinks it is better than Alton Towers. "How quickly does the red stick (odo needle) get to 60?" Was today's question. The answer was lost in cackling and shouts of 'make it go faster'!
