Unfortunately you couldn’t see the cover/obstacle when dark! Leaving the Stoneleigh tent late that year was fun. Too many beers. We also meet the WSCC horse that year too!

I'll put money on it being a tuned 2L Duratec (maybe by Cosworth from a rumour I've heard, so far from concrete), and brand new engines too, as I believe the factory need to be able to produce 100% new vehicles. Otherwise, I can only agree with others expressing their disappointment at how little the club have been told about this ahead of the preview. I understand that existing owners maybe make a poor target audience for selling a new car, but there's a lot of value in word of mouth and opinion. I'm still waiting on the new XI that was supposed to be here last year as well!

Indeed. The club future (and name) discussion was parked again (from my perspective at least) pending filling the new committee positions (2 still vacant) and pending these promised updates from Westfield Chesil Ltd 🙁

It's quite sad the club hasn't been involved into this. It's also sad the discussion about the future of the club (and its name) seems to have lost momentum...

Don't jump to blame the Club members here, this is all on Nigel! He made promises and assurances to us that haven't been kept, yet. Hopefully we can get some more details following the event at least

A hotel in Modena kindly did this to my car in 2023, whilst we visited the Ferrari museums on a rather moist day! It wasn't really needed as my interior is often drowned and there's drain holes in the floors. I've not got carpets though. @Hedley Bennett (HB46443) - Club Chairman had a camouflaged tarpaulin at Stoneleigh one year, but I bet he can't find it 😎 You could get a some thick plastic sheet from a builders merchant and use tank tape if it's a one off.

Did I miss an earlier post on here a week or two ago saying that there was going to be an unveiling? I would have thought the most loyal group of WF followers might have got some notice..

If you could all just make sure for next time you coordinate your wardrobes so you all wear black and orange so everyone knows your the official crew🙂

Well… it seems to have an engine… Would have been nice to have had a representative of the club invited - but after Nigel’s reception at the tent in Malvern, I imagine that invite might have got flushed down the lav.

Can't be many of those being produced these days? Can't think of anything that has such a high redline out-of-the box either.

The original brief the factory gave was for the top engine option to be ~2 litre, 16 valve, high reving 8k plus, or thereabouts and NA. Be interesting to see how much, if any of that’s been carried through.
