1st May Friday evening at the GBS factory, Retford
Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO replied to AndrewBClarke's topic in Local Area Meets, Events & Kit Car Shows
We were parked at the far end of the car park. We were very soon boxed in by Chris in his Morgan. Seemed like a good excuse to try the Morgan for size! It was a very busy night with a large variety of cars in attendance. The Escort Mexico was particularly good! There was a good range of vehicle in the GBS workshop, including a Westfield XI being readied for IVA. The good news is that I still had a working alternator after the 140 miles round trip! -

I’ve currently just started a project to repair and paint my Westfield DIY - in reality I have a spare body I’ll be doing grp repairs in and then painting in 2k paint. im considering recording / blogging the work on here, but only if there is interest. let me know what you think - I’m a beginner, so it will be a learning by doing blog!!- 1 reply

Looking for exhaust headers/manifold for zzr1200 or similar that will fit. Anyone got anything? Thanks
Rich Vaughan replied to Rich Vaughan's topic in Parts Wanted
Hi Nick, thanks but we already have precisely the same TLE exhaust from when we ran a Gixxer in the car. That will be our fall back plan uc we dob't get a ZZR one. Thanks anyway - Yesterday

Hi Quinten, you were the first S8 owner I encountered when I brought mine in 2023. Love your take on a Lotus 7 replica, what a car. GLWTS

Quinten started following FS: 2002 Westfield SEiGHT 3.9L EFI V8
-
After nearly 13 years and 3 Westfields it is time to move on as my circumstances are going to change in the near future. So for sale is my 2002 Westfield SEiGHT with the 3.9L Rover V8 and EFI (electronic fuel injection). The gearbox is the LT77 also out of a prehistoric Rover of some sort. I bought it in November 2020 and have enjoyed many miles in it, and over the years made it to my taste. The mileage is a genuine 16,400, which may rise a little if there are any sunny days. I'm just doing a service on it, so no engine bay pictures yet, but will update the post when I have completed that. The MOT is due in July, but will put it through a test before it drives of with the new owner if that happens before that time. Now for the bad news. The engine is due a rebuild/refurbish. It burns oil and has low compression on some cylinders. The car still drives fine, the oil pressure sits at 3bar, and it does not smoke. But it needs budgeting for, so this is why the asking price is £13,000. I'm in Northampton, a couple of miles of J15A or J16 of the M1. Contact me here, or on phone/text/whatsapp 07971 125839. PS. I've got lots more pictures, but I couldn't attach any more to the thread. I've also got a build diary here: https://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/topic/154328-barney-the-mid-life-crisis/

First long run tonight down to GBS for their evening meeting. Parked up at the front, but got blocked in by a Lamborghini. Pizza was nice! -
Dear god that’s a memory I try to put away in a box! Andy

Nice of @Hafod to call in on his epic maiden journey from Swadlincote to North Wales in his new to him lovely S2000 bought from @K4RL Car is in great condition, Phil's a very happy man. The weather gods seems to be on side too. Here's hoping he gets home dry! I'm curious as to the builder/previous owner as it's got my keyless ignition upgrade and the Dash2 settings aren't factory.. Perhaps @Barnsley John-

Nice, mine's never done this, that I know of, sadly!- It has popped and banged and nearly launched a clearly, upset cow onto the bonnet of @AndyD-Yellow Peril's car in the Alps, though! Didn't get a shot of that
