I think it would be good if we could reinstate the times from previous years events so they can be used by competitors and driver as a comparison with the times being set from this year in the 7's Sprint Championship

don't suppose anyone has a front set of carpets/mats for a FW that their not using, must be in good condition. Mine are getting a bit worn on the drivers side.

I visited Llandudno last Saturday with the family and realise it was two years since my last blat into Wales. I'd seen the NWKCOG had a lunch time meet planned for today, so I suggested to a few, how about a blat into Wales first. Some (well two), weren't so keen on my suggested leave home time of 6am, so I met @Tony H , @M8KWR Dave Fleet (Orange Mev) Luay Mustafa just outside Trentham Garden's. As I was travelling there @andyjs spotted I was out and joined us with his Caterham pilot friend Scott. On my way there I took this pic- Just arrived outside Trentham Gardens We then headed over to Audlem to meet @CosKev Tony Hallam (Tiger owner with a Saab Turbo engine). Kev had kindly put a great run together for us, but due to the later than wanted start time we weren't likely to get as far into Wales as I'd hoped for. Here's are route. Some great roads. A brief stop to water the plants. Found this interesting car at a fuel stop in Shrewsbury. Only 1 made it's a McEwen and Pete it's owner and driver was in it! He's a kiwi but lived in the UK since the 80's. The car is 600kgs and powered by a 2.5L EcoBoost currently running at 300bhp. Mainly used on track. @CosKev & Tony Hallam needed to head to their respective homes, so I led the six others to the Newcott Chippy. Lot's of fake snakes and a few 7's!

Why not use two glass beads set in rubber like what's been used for 300 years you have to have a round wheel square won't work some nxb got loadsa money to design that hideous lump of alloy which will probably all be nicked when the lads with the transit pick up work out it's easy cash to rip em out.

We are off to Andrew's @AndrewBClarke favourite place, the Rambler Inn, Edale. We will go via Longshaw to pick up Surprise View before taking in Winnat's Pass, so a good route to finally drop us down the twisty Mam Nick road into the back of Edale. All welcome at Quackers Cafe, keep it fair for the paying members and let's have members only on the run out please. See you in the morning!

Good grief @DIY-Si , the XI took quite a beating. Yes, if you'd had a passenger, they would certainly have felt something trying to come through the floor!

I was thinking luminous paint for the centre white lines.

I've started work on assessing the damage done to the XI. This was flat: The lowered passenger floor has taken a bit more of a beating than I realised, as it doesn't look too bad from underneath. Lifting the seat pad out gave a different view, as I could fit my hand under the gap. Some how, the chassis has nothing more than a scuff to the powdercoat at the front! There are three rivnuts that spin due to bent bolts, but otherwise the damage is limited to the bolt on undertray and the seat floor. I am rather glad I was flying solo at the time!

There was a section of road near to me that had led lights installed a few years ago, instead of cats eyes. Quite a winding road with no street lights and out in the countryside, you could drive it at night with your lights off! Having said all that, I don't think they work anymore 😆

Afternoon All, just looking at the map and trying to maximise convoy time, how about first meet point Dorking Main station at 8:20, Lidl Billingshurst 8:50 then on to Chalet Cowfold for 9:10

My IVA inspector didn't ask for proof of seat strength. It was important to ensure that the belts ran through the slots as close to horizontally as possible by adding packing washers beneath the belt top mountings and by angling the seat backwards.

@Nick Algar - Competition Secretary very similar spec to mine. Do you know your gearbox ratios & how do you find the 4.44 diff on the road?
