I'd be up for this if it didn't clash with Malvern. Brooklands and Brighton handy for me but Malvern isn't anymore, so I need to stay over. -

The Great British Car Journey museum are hosting a breakfast meet where everyone is invited in any type of car, so I think we will accept their invite. The deal is for £7.95 you get a full English breakfast AND a hot drink in the cafe, that's not bad hey? Coates award winning sausages included, made from Packington free range pork. Meet at 10am, Sunday 22 March, DE56 2HE After breakfast we will head off into the Peak District to enjoy the better weather and the drier roads, no fog this time perhaps. This is the WSCC part of the meet, so to keep it fair, paying members only on the run out please. Who is joining us? See the adverts here https://greatbritishcarjourney.com/events-calendar/ https://www.facebook.com/GreatBritishCarJourney -

I don't think I'll be able to take part this year, as it falls right in the middle of my boy's GCSE exams. -

Yes, this. I learnt this the hard way with a Triumph Herald convertible I had as a 'youngster', I would stick a plastic cover over it when not in use, then one hot day I'd discovered it had stuck itself to the paintwork and left permanent marks where it had stuck, from then on I always used a cotton dust sheet between the car and the plastic cover.
-
Just let the exhaust cool enough before throwing a cover on i hook mine over the head light and wing mirror to hold it out of the way if in a hurry when raining still covers the important parts
-
Yeah that is a good call really.. might go down this route then to save a bit of cash.
- Last week
-
my bad forgot to put one on
-
price is £4000
-
No doubt, but you’ve not provided a price in the ad!
-
Thats true so I always put a cotton type cover over first to protect it and remove the cover every 2-3 days to ventilate even through the summer to stop any condensation building up even if only for an hour or so.
-
Yeah the hood covers are around £500 or more depending on the size. Have always been a bit weary about standard car covers especially if it gets hot as they can sometimes damage paint work.
-
If anyone happens to have one spare in good condition please let me know
