Peak District Run Out, Sun 31 Aug, 10am Quackers cafe

It's been a phenomenal summer and today, the last day of summer, it finished on a high. Sunshine all day long with 2 minutes of rain while we were inside having lunch, what weather we have had this year! We all met at Quackers and sat on the sun terrace It's in a beautiful setting with views over the gardens and catches the sun all day long, great for warming us up after our journey's. Parked at Quackers We went on a great run out around the Peak District, on a mixture of going through pretty villages and then onto empty country lanes away from any tourists. It was the last day of the Well Dressing in Wormhill and the home baked cakes in the village hall needed to be eaten. Lemon and blueberry cake was so popular we ate the lot...... The ladies were one step ahead of us lot, the reserves were fetched from out of the kitchen, so we didn't have to fight for it All still friends in Wormhill Village Hall Parked in Wormhill, a beautiful, tiny village in the middle of the Peak District, far from anywhere The Well Dressing The Childrens Well was everyone's favourite, well who doesn't like Paddington Bear, if you excuse the pun. Love the marmalade sandwiches and paw prints around the border. Ian kept the Church guard dog at bay More driving to follow in the wonderful countryside, it's starting to take a green tinge back on now we have had a spot of rain last week. After eating all that cake we were hungry (were we?) and so for lunch we went, to The Cow Shed, Tideswell. We covered the cars up and there was a few spots of rain while we were inside. Becky was fancying beef Inside the Cow Shed More!! You all want more? Ruddy Oliver Twist here, ok we will go on, well the sun is still shining so why rush off home? The Chatsworth Kitchen More cake even, are we sharing Mr 2 Spoons? And so the day ended, along with meterological summer, in glorious sunshine. The cars looking fabulous, all running well and lots of happy owners, what an amazing hobby we have, we are so very, very lucky x -

Brilliant day as ever. Lots of laughter and food and some brilliant roads. Not really any pics to add as Ali can’t see over the top of the car. Loads of thanks to all for the company, and a special thank you to Julie and Glen for organising another great day 👍😍 - Today

Wow! Hadn't seen that picture before. I ended up doing it twice last year, I liked it so much the first time. -
Got mine from Hamilton Classic Ltd. I’ve had many and this was the best fit for a narrow with hood. Gave me club discount too.

Chrome Yellow Westfield Duratec Sport 2000
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) replied to Nige_T's topic in Westfields for Sale
Yep, a very well known and admired car within the Club - previously owned and developed by Clark, who also use to run the Club’s merchandise sales through his work clothing and PPE business. An absolute cracker of a Westfield. Good luck with the sale! -

I would love that! Unfortunately I never took my test and have not ridden a bike since the South of France in 1981! At my age I suspect I'd be asking for trouble. I'll have to stick with 4 wheels unfortunately. Good luck with the sale or swap, it's a great looking machine 👌 -

I believe this car will be known to many of you in the group. I’m selling as the car is just not getting used, I was doing a few track days with my son who’s now left home, and I’ve downsized and need the garage space for an upcoming house renovation. It flew through the MOT recently, no advisories. I bought the car in April 2023 when the mileage was around 28.5 and it’s now just over 30 (shows how little use it’s getting…). I’ve done some sunshine road driving and a few track days. I haven’t driven lots of different cars on track to be able to compare, but I can verify that this car is beautifully set-up and lots of fun. Looks and drives like a track car but the suspension is adjustable and is as much at home on the road as on the track. Wife even comes out with the dog on her lap. Always garaged, it’s been well looked after, frequent oil changes and a recent gearbox oil change. Not been on rolling road but estimated 210bhp. Weighs approx. 575kg. Reconditioned engine, new crankshaft, cam upgrade, swirl pot (to prevent fuel starvation when cornering on track), brake bias valve, some head work to help with air flow, oil cooler kit, Raceline sump, Simpson race can and manifold (huge can, but quiet), Playskool full cage with welded in side bars, JK fibreglass seats with pads and carbon fibre inserts including bases on runners, Carbon mods aero screen, carbon fibre front cycle wings, Willwood front brake callipers and drilled / grooved disks, quick release steering wheel, three sets of wheels - Minilite type replicas with 888's, a nice set of Compomotive CRX wheels with tyres which look to be about road legal but plenty left for track days, and a crappy set of Alleycats with some very and I mean very old Nankang tyres on - the wheels are rough and the tyres need destroying unless you are doing a drift day, V8 bonnet fitted to car, spare standard bonnet , carbon fibre dash , viscous slippy diff, gel battery (fitted in the nosecone), ingenious towing modification, curved rear view mirror on cage, SPA mirrors (central and side), lowered floor (fine for 6”2’), carbon fibre side screens, Procomp adjustable shocks/springs and front anti roll bar (not the Westfield one that has been known to damage the chassis), spare windscreen, side screens, wiper motor and washer bottle, Racelidz 4 point harness (they are five point but only 4 fitted but the groin belts to include in sale - seats have the holes for the 5th belt), high level cage mounted brake light. Car fully setup and corner weighted by Procomp. I can’t take any credit for the above and the fabulous set-up of this car. That was all the previous owner – more info here:- https://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/topic/144169-chrome-yellow-sport-2000-car-sold/#comment-1527438 Car is in East Sussex TN32 5QS. I can take you for a spin. You can drive if you show me insurance. £14,500

Thanks Stuart. It compounds my confusion as the original colour of 'The Prisoner' S2 has always seemed much darker than mine. At least we got the nosecone right, that's original Lotus LO7.😗
