  1. Past hour
  2. Their custom produced engine could well be a duratec with custom manifolds and cams. Maybe a bit of porting. That's not a criticism, by the way, it'd be a sensible way to do it.
  3. Wow🤩 grey and orange what a colour combination 🤪 but I am a bit bias 🤣

One of his hoses is in the wrong place 😁
  8. I can't help wondering if there's an engine in there...
  9. Any word on pricing? In a world where an M3 now costs £100k and you can spend £65k + on a Cateringvan, it will be interesting to see how much these are pitched at. That interior is gorgeous and certainly makes it look classy and expensive, and those seats are 🥰

Like the wheels, anyone know source? see they still use that monster side repeater on the front cycle wings
  15. @DIY-Si Are both cars the same? The green one is left hand drive 🧐
  16. I couldn't talk to them too much more at the time, as they were busy trying to get the cars detailed and ready for the day. I'll have to see if they're feeling any less tight-lipped in a bit.
  17. Hedley Bennett (HB46443) - Club Chairman

SENA R T. On the dash. Have they explained this @DIY-Si SE Model. Naturally Aspirated. Road primarily with Track? Like styling on the interior. Track inspired. Not sure on matching exhaust colour. Nice to know reasoning. Big power Big heat?
  18. They're being rather cagey currently about the engine, but have said it's an engine built for them and not available to anyone else. It comes in road, mixed and track versions......
  19. Crash test dummy

    Recent snap of your Westfield

Got some video from last TD with Aerorace track Westfield :
  25. So the Duratec is still available and would meet most, if not all of the previously outlined requirements (couple of tweaks would see one spin to over 8k I would have thought?) also leaves open the idea that the exhaust primaries we saw on the teaser might be mirrored on the other side and we get a new SEight….🤞🏻😂

Other suppliers are available, too. The first option they were perusing was not via Power Torque. Though that would probably be the path of least resistance!

Don’t forget, if this is the model range the factory is changing over to for their future cars, they will need entry level engines versions too. These could well end up having to be the small capacity turbo engines, just because that’s what available new. One of the benefits of the original engine range they were looking at, a few years back was that it was somewhat modular, and although produced by a relatively small volume manufacturer was, I understand, derived from a proper mainstream production engine, no longer supplied/used by the original car maker. (I guess someone bought the rights and tooling, and developed their own version from there). But be in no doubt, if you went to an engine tuner and asked for the sort of spec originally talked about for their future cars top engine, back when the project began, you’d be handing over upwards of £10k if not £15k + at today’s prices, just on the motor! So what they’ve planned now, only time will tell. Though I believe there was still a preference for a 2 litre, NA engine, the world of cars has change a lot since then, and it may not be practical. Dont forget, in order to sell New fully built Westfields, with brand new licence plates, they need a brand new engine from a crate supplier or equivalent. That’s why the Mega S2000 was always an enthusiasts car rather than the top Westfield model. You could only fit second hand engines. It’s also why they had to use the 2 litre ecoboost, which could be purchased brand new from a trade supplier like Power Torque, rather than the 1.6 Ecoboost, which from a technical and installation point of view made more sense, but couldn’t be bought brand new in the trade.
  28. The biggest clue may just be to have a look at what's available on the Power Torque Engineering website 😉 D
