Those Subaru Brats were great cars for fun in the 70s. The rear jump seats in particular were great and probably plenty lethal but still fun and legal back then. You could ride in the back and chat with pretty girls at traffic lights (and potentially meet up with them later) and drink beer at the same time because the alcohol wasn’t in the cab of the truck itself, so legal 👍. Also, you could park backwards at a drive-in movie theatre and sit in the back in the warm evening nights. Of course, being the angel 😇 that I was (and still am), I did not participate in those sorts of things. Oh no…

A few bits and pieces for me over the last few days. I need to save a bit of distance on the steering wheel to give me more arm room, and found a Springalex boss which saves me a cm or so. Also some switch guards which came from the US (couldn’t find any in stock in UK) and a DPST switch for my hazards. I also got a 180W indicator relay to replace the old 30W jobbie I had. I’m sure that’s way more than needed but my hazards are now blinking again 👍

Hi Richard, I've got a Mazda SDV kit that's started, but I haven't got a whole lot way through if you're interested? I have the first kit minus the bodywork (i never received it when they went into administration.. frustrating). So chassis, suspension arms, brake lines, fuel lines etc. I've also got all the bits off the Mazda that are needed. Reason I haven't built it...without going to massive detail... had 2 children, got too busy at work, a family member died and is giving me a z4, and I need the space back! If you're interested I'll take some pics. Jay
