Ok, thanks for the education, much appreciated. I don't have a water rail on my blacktop then, but then I don't think it's fittable to mine as I have a turbo in the way? I don't have the plastic thermostat housing either, I've got an aluminium upgraded part. -

Thrills, heritage, and innovation meet on track. We @Hedley Bennett (HB46443) - Club Chairman , @Rob Hunter - Club Secretary & the brand-new Westfield Se.NA R-T at Bicester Heritage for its first public test session, An exclusive opportunity to experience the next chapter of Westfield performance. Back-to-back drives with the legendary SeiW Zetec reminded us just how far we’ve come, while a sneak peek at the upcoming Westfield XV showcased where we’re headed. From the XI that started it all in 1982 to the cutting-edge Se.NA, the spirit of Westfield engineering lives on, faster, sharper, and more refined than ever. I didn't take to many images myself, the occasion was like being in a sweet shop! Big thanks to @Westfield Chesil Limited. Look out for the Magazine articles from the press.-

The water rail modification on the zetec, essentially removes the long "hockey stick" 90 degree hose from the thermostat housing on back of the engine (in rear wheel drive applications) to the radiator in the nose. The Zetec plastic thermostat housing is a bit fragile (becomes brittle with repeated heat cycles) and replacements are hard to find so its a common modification. Here's a water rail from Burtons -

It neatens up the top hose plumbing bringing it to the front of the engine, and replaces the original plastic thermostat housing which can become brittle with age and crack. Looks pretty, too! -

I've seen the term 'water rail' quite a lot on here recently, I've no idea what that is though or what it does, why it's better etc. Anyone like to explain in simple terms please? -
Hi - drop me a pm if you get chance. I’m based in Cardiff so probably not a million miles from you!!

I'm looking for a 2l pinto engine if anyone has one lying around, preferably in the west midlands area. Ideally looking for a standard engine as I have carbs etc. Thanks

Hiya Lukey, welcome to the club, although mine is purely Road use, I think you’re in good company here. Oh and photos I believe are compulsory….. enjoy your car, I know it’s the best thing I’ve done after waiting 30 years to get mine. Bestest Phil R

Hello everybody, just aquired a 2018 factory built AeroRace with Zetec Power. Intend to run it purely for Track Days for my son. Also run a Mx5 Zsport. Pembrey and Llandow are our local circuits, with hopefully excursions further afield as well. Looking forward to benefitting from the knowledge that abounds here and joining in where I can.

The location is Great British Sports Cars Ltd, Maun Way, Boughton, Ollerton, Nottingham, NG22 9ZD. We are planning to leave Tamworth around 8.30am for the drive up to GBS. Anyone want to join us for the drive or just meet us at the event? -
No idea Bring your scuttle over

Hi Ash, have these got enough flex in them to fit a narrow SE.
-
Just abit of a bump here Ive decided to only offer these in what i would call race quality due to the fact of how much time it takes to clear coat them and im snowed under at the moment and my race quality is more often better than most people's first quality and it will be at a reduced cost for the customer. So i'm offering these race quality double bubble aeroscreens at £275 plus shipping and what does "race quality" mean the product comes out the oven it trimmed and has a light polish so there could be slight surface imprefections .

@Matt_S no problem. It would’ve been good to meet you and thank you in person for your help with my nose ducting 👌. Next time 👍
