Bristol, Bath & Cotswolds meet - Tintern Abbey, Chepstow - Tuesday 3 June, 7pm
kik1.6se replied to Paul Baker - Bristol Bath and Cotswold AO's topic in Local Area Meets, Events & Kit Car Shows
Looks good. I’m disappointed I couldn’t make it. I jumped in the car yesterday and it wouldn’t start, nothing at all from the starter motor. I did some advanced diagnostics (I hit it with a hammer and it started clicking but still not starting) and it looks like I need a new starter motor. Given that it’s been on the car 28 years now and it may have been second hand then, it’s probably fair to say I’ve got my moneys worth out of it. It was nice of it to stop working at home rather than at Malvern or Tintern, so I’m thankful for that. still, a bit gutted I couldnt make it, please come back over another time please. - Today

Bromyard Speed Festival
Stuart replied to BobMet's topic in Local Area Meets, Events & Kit Car Shows
@BobMet never attended myself, but I used to live not far from there and had an MX5 then. The local MX5 club used to participate and always raved about how good it was.- 1 reply

Anyone been to or participated in the Bromyard Speed Festival before, or perhaps attending this year? Being fairly local I put in a booking request and have been accepted to join in and to run the Westfield on the hill climb. I've never visited the event before but saw the closing date was looming so just went for it. Any intel from previous entrants or spectators would be appreciated. 2.0l westfield FW supercharged
Flying Carrot Steve replied to Paul Robinson's topic in Westfields for Sale
No not really. I've looked at loads, you know what it's like, the grass is greener etc. Except it's not! I just bid so I get updates via text etc. I'm currently watching about 8 cars in various auctions. I'm considering changing my car life, maybe getting something more usable. Trouble is I love the Carrot so letting it go won't be easy. Also I'm considering the idea of buying auctioned cars and selling them on. The cars with no reserve can often be good buys. It's a lot of work and hassle though. I have a mate who buys and sells Cateringvans and does very well out of it. -

Flying Carrot Steve replied to Paul Robinson's topic in Westfields for Sale
Yep, been watching it. -
I know this is quite a long shot, but worth trying. Do you have a full cage for a SEiW, which you don't mind strapping on a pallet? I can send a courier at your address to collect it. Paint condition not important, as long as the cage is structurally sound. PM me if the above is ok with you. Thanks.

Derby and Notts Club meeting 5th June, 7pm at the Clock Shardlow
Garry Bunn - Derby & Notts Joint AO posted a topic in Local Area Meets, Events & Kit Car Shows
Well its June already and time for the next club meeting. Rob is still working away so can't make it. Now we missed an article for the last club mag so can I ask if any of you could put a few words together for the area in the next mag, please say if you can help, especially the Malvern show. The weather looks bad on Thursday day time but could clear up in the evening. 7pm onwards at the Clock Shardlow as usual. Hope the service is better this time else we may have to think about another location. -

Westfield MSA Spec Half Cage Wide Body - £250
Greenstreak-Andy D replied to Richard Slack's topic in Parts for Sale
Good price too. When I bought one Westfield were going to charge me £170 for shipping to Cheshire! Needless to say I went to collect it for £40 diesel and a look around Westfield factory! 🤪
