    Lakes & Dales Tour 2026

    To wet your appetite and have something to look forward to in these gloomy winter days!! Join us and enjoy 130 miles driving around the spectacular Lake District Nation Park and 135 miles through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are no timed meeting points during the days, so if you want to stop off for a walk or visit somewhere enroute - the choice is yours to enjoy the areas as you want to. You are at liberty to choose which day to explore the Lakes and which day you explore the Dales. We will split into small groups to make keeping together easier and exploration less stressful - More time to enjoy the views rather than worrying about where the car behind has gone! Last years tour was fully subscribed quickly so early booking is advised once again for this years event. Driving days are Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th June 2026. we'll head off from the hotel at 9am each day. If you're travelling from a far I would recommend that you book accommodation for Sunday, Monday & Tuesday to make the most of the wonderful roads and scenery. Base will be Travelodge Kendal Town Centre as it has covered secure parking. Kendal LA9 7FW Phone: 0871 984 6571 There are two Travelodge Hotels in Kendal so please be careful when booking!! Adding breakfast to your booking isn't necessary as you can pay on the day. Many choose last year to have breakfast at Wetherspoons and there was plenty of choice for evening meals in town.     Well, as I may have mentioned before, email is not my area of expertise. However... The connection via ggr is expected, because the server is on their network and Postfix is the software on the server that routes/redirects our emails. But, it certainly looks like someone is “spoofing" one of our publicly visible email addresses and is using it to try and get access to a user account with a very typical “phishing" type of email. Hence why this ended up in your spam. Good to know your spam filter is working - so just ignore them as these type of emails are used as a scattergun approach to hacking accounts. It goes without saying that you NEVER EVER click on ANY link in an email unless you are absolutely 100% sure that it is genuine.

    Not in a westfield but i did Craigantlet with the BHC in 2022, was a brilliant thing to do, but i went with a group of mates. Glorious weather for the journey across, lashed it down on the event day then had brilliant weather for the sunday, nice experience but the sunday was spent with a group of mates sightseeing so that probably has a big influence on the memory! Trip across took forever as did the journey back. Was nice to experience a different hillclimb and a closed road hillclimb. For how much it cost though I'm not sure it's something I'd do again in a hurry. Got some interest that i wasn't too keen on for the outgoing crossing...

    Hi Ian, Sender appears to be website@wscc.co.uk The Verify Identity and Change Password links both point to: https://zapiregupe.z21.web.core.windows.net/ Usually would just delete these without a second thought, but they're either actually coming from our domain somehow, or someone has done a really good job of spoofing. If useful for troubleshooting/identification, here are the details my gmail account is showing for the email:

    Hi, Yes as per the description, the advert is for One harness and Two sets of shoulder pads, so that both sides would match. As per the picture. I paid £185 + P&P, so it's something of a bargain. Still in the original box with the original fixings and properly dry stored since I removed it. Thanks

    Had a great day yesterday at the Morgan factory. There’s a large cafe adjacent to the showroom, a shop (not the cheapest, but with some interesting content) and a ‘heritage centre’ all of which can be accessed for free. Charges for factory tour and any Morgan drives, all on their website. All staff were very friendly and helpful. No restrictions on photos. A most enjoyable day. Andy

    Back again...update... Well just before Christmas I bit the bullet and bought my first Westfield. Currently wintered in a dehumidified container and looking forward to some dryer weather. It might be a previous member's car (I'm in touch with him on FB) Pretty much the spec I was looking for too. Thinking of some preventative Lanoguard to keep the chassis ship shape...any thoughts on that? Many thanks
