YES you can't imagine how much the body will stretch/deform under accident conditions Long before hans, a friend got punted into the wall in an RX-7. When we belted him in, helmet could not get close to the roll cage, maybe 3-4" clearance He got a concussion and cracked helmet 2 years ago at a vintage race, some d***head in a formula ford tried to win the race in turn one, first lap took out at least 2 others, one of which went OVER the tire wall, which is not close to the track absolutely totaled the car, but driver walked away with bruises and cracked helmet, thanks to HANS

Probably counts as cheating. Like taking steroids for the Olympics, a totally unfair advantage 😂

What if I put an orange go faster stripe on the orange XI?!

I have a windscreen and was wearing a beanie hat when an acorn clouted me on the forehead last year. I was doing about 50 mph and It must have fallen at just the right moment to miss the windscreen and it was a case of me hitting it rather than it hitting me. I had no idea what it was until I pulled over and found it in the footwell. Even though it hit the beanie, it left a nasty bruise and didn't half make I jump.

So very sad. My sincere condolences. -
I do. Can be a bit of a faff if you don't have 2 inch hans harnesses. I have a schroth one. Fits well. My advice would be to go and try one on. I got mine from rallynuts because I could try different sizes

There are some brilliant photo's there, @ianali @aeg please thank the ladies for their efforts. Calendar entries is open! I thought we had gone to the garden centre for some bags of manure, but you had bought it with you Mr Gilbert, it's good for the garden you know. I fancy lamb for tea, can't think why😁 -
Did you get my pm regarding carbon mirrors?

Question for the track day goers amongst us, do you wear a HANS device when on track? After my recent cycling accident, I am thinking of purchasing one to make things as safe as possible when on track. My helmet has HANS mounting posts so I think it is a no brainer really…

Replaced this earlier in the year hoping it would resolve the fuel tank vacuum sucking, but it made no difference having the new one fitted. So this should still function as expected. £5 including postage
-
Had this on my roll bar for a couple of years, but have replaced it with a new one when I had that powder coated. Fitted with a 3D printed mount to follow the contour of the roll bar. One of the screw holes is partially broken, but once fixed to the roll bar does not pose an issue. £15 including postage.

@ianali you’ll be pleased to know Becky has washed my trousers 🙄 Just for fellow enthusiasts I can confirm there is something more Solid than dried weetabix 🫣 don’t leave cow stuff on your car overnight, the effects are your garage smells like a farmyard and the amount of soap and water to loosen it up was unbelievable , I’m off to spray wd40 and brake cleaner in the garage to make it smell normal again 🤣 cheers Andy -
RIP @Mr C such a sad loss , heartfelt condolences to your family

Hi @AndrewBClarke. Sorry, we can't make it this year - just checked diaries with the boss. We have a room reserved at the hotel on the Saturday night too, so will release that in a minute if anyone was struggling to find somewhere to stay
