Hi, looking for a ZK rear antiroll bar as mine broke and the Westfield parts shop does not sell those.

Roll over protection
Kingster replied to Craig Mann's topic in 7s Speed Series / Hill Climbing / Racing
That’s a huge understatement - in my view, for any competitive event, it is essential not advisable to replace the “jap” (aka chocolate) cosmetic roll bar with something that would actually save your life in the event of a rollover.- 1 reply

I just attended Gurston Down hill climb school. I have to say had a fantastic day, would totally recommend. Now, to have a go properly, if I’ve read the rules correctly, my Westfield would fit into “road going specialist production” . I know before I ask this, that it would be advisable to have better roll over protection. But is it required by the rules in this class. ( my reading is, it isn’t) at present, only have Jap bar. Reason I ask, is that I have another car ( MR2) that will not need modifications to compete and I could use this. But I’d much prefer to use Westfield.

Have to say, that's very impressive. I admire people who can do stuff like this (I can't!) -
Best way to save weight for sure, not the cheapest tho 🤣 But I can vouch for Ash's parts quality, gorgeous stuff. Surely the best Westfield carbon parts money can buy.
-
No, sorry. I'd sell the whole package. But I'm also happy to keep it. If I use it in a project in the future, then I'd want it to have the billet sump on.

Membership Renewal risks losing members
neptune replied to neptune's topic in Membership Information ONLY
I only received the membership expired email not the 30 day renewal reminder unfortunately. I think the 30 day reminder is the ideal solution 👍 -
Would you consider selling just the sump?
-
My first one was make from alloy sheet.
-
That is mad! Another option is put on some weight so you are nicely ‘tight’ in the seat. Acceptable with age.
-
plywood?

If you thought Westfield parts prices were expensive… In my old Westfield (sold 10 yrs ago), I had Tillett seats and bought a pad set with them to make them a bit more comfy. The pad set is simply 2 pieces of thin foam (one for you bum and one for your back) Roll on 10 years, and I’m back in a Westfield, fitted with caterham tillet seats. I’m finding I slip down in them a little so looked a buying a pad set from tillett…. !!£400!! That’s just for one seat.. Think I’ll be making my own…

Nice car, good luck with the sale. The zetec r is quite happy in my car too👍 -
It would need a lambda too (so maybe a remap). That said, I may have missed the fact it already has one

WSCC Members on TV!
Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative replied to Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO's topic in Stuff & Nonsense
The secret is out!! Well spotted @Martyn Vann - Warwickshire AO. We were at H and H Car Auction, Buxton Pavillion. Our friend from the car museum bought that truck in the background, he drove it home to Derby that evening, in the dark (it was winter) with brakes that barely worked. It was a funeral directors truck and has now sold it on at good profit.- 1 reply

What the postie brought today!

I did, probably the best location to have it installed in my car, away from the heat soak of the engine bay. Entirely designed in CAD by myself, then built by ProAlloy to the exact spec. -
