That's great Mat, hopefully we can meet up with a few members somewhere
  3. Pair of windscreen pillars that I got from another member on here as new but one has some paint flaked off the bottom. Comes with brand new boxed mirrors as well. Looking for £300ono posted or collected from Edinburgh.

  5. Good to meet Dave and his Stag owning friend, hope to see you in your newly finished Westfield and your friend in his Stag next year! A reasonable day out but a pity we didn't get an extra run as there seemed to be time for one, but no communications from the organisers. Many thanks to Stuart Gilks for his help adjusting the throttle position sensor.
  6. Hi David Thank you. I've been pricing CAT and O2 sensor replacements, my local parts guys can get genuine Bosch 731, or generic matched parts. They do a great job on parts for all our family cars, so I'll see what they can come up with. I'm still running the alpha pro4 ecu, I'm still dithering about replacing it, as I've used one before I might go megasquirt. At my last MOT, the tester reckoned that as the lambda/fuel air ratio was spot on through the rev range, it was more likely that the CAT was failing to make testing borderline. This links to a point that @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) made in another emissions/MOT related post. Thanks again. Gary

Great British Car Meet, Fri 25 July, 4-8pm

That is just mental. You've got to love it. I really want one now but I think that if I go and lie down then it'll pass.
  10. Yes, I am intending to replace the whole ECU in the autumn, and was already considering getting the boss repositioned at the same time. You can see in the photo that the orientation is indeed lower than level and could only have been worse if it was positioned vertically up. But, annoyingly, the sensor started playing up this week and not replacing it would just have been cutting off my nose to spite my face. You'd think that people making exhausts would know this stuff. Oh, well 🤷 Well, in the past, I have just ordered a replacement from the Weber website and received a genuine Bosch 0 258 006 731 at a competitive price. But this time not only had the price doubled but annoyingly I got a generic no name one instead. If I need another alpha compatible one in future then I think that I will either just get a shonkey pattern one from eBay much cheaper or go to a local parts house and get a genuine Bosch one for my money 😞 David

Hi Peter. Welcome to the club, lovely looking car. I’m not a million miles from you as I live in Bourne near Stamford. Love going out towards Norfolk and Suffolk. Mat

    Recent snap of your Westfield

Well after a week of EV ownership I felt the need to clense the sole and have a blast in the westy(well had a few little errands to run) thought it felt a little loose just the last mile or so. Parking up to go to pets at home and discovered the reason. Big thanks to the Aa man for sorting me and getting me home. New tyre required

I don't know, there is a suggestion that the 4 wheeled bond bug is a kit car. If he turns up tomorrow I will ask him 👍

    What the postie brought today!

Do you not need to take the tyre off the rim for these? I've only seen plugs that come through from the inside.

    Yorkshire run, 27th July.

Sorry about the short notice, but we're having a little run out tomorrow, 27th July. Meeting at the Motorist, Lennerton Lane, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6JE at 10.30, leaving 11ish. I've got a route planned in my head if I can remember it. Again, sorry for the late post, but if anyone can make it, I'll see you there.
  21. @dvd8n@Naranja_Al The O2 sensor on my factory Sigma car is in similar position to that on dvd8ns car. Interesting given the orientation suggested above. David, what sensor are you using as a replacement? Gary
  22. It looks from the photo that your sensor is mounted at 90 deg from the horizontal line of your exhaust or perhaps even lower. This will encourage condensation in the exhaust to damage the sensor. It might be worth looking to relocate the boss more in line with the below detail. I had to do this on my car to reduce the number of times the sensor needed changing.

    What the postie brought today!

Decided it's wise to have one of these sets aboard when blatting. I've only used the inflatable foam cans once and it didn't go well, hopefully this will work better.
  27. Cool! 😎 excited to see you guys tomorrow
