Thought I'd follow up on this, as I prepared one of the connectors I was alluding to today. 2 jubilee clips each side so the outer ones can clamp the split hose, which is parted at the point of failure. This connector suits 16mm / 5/8" ID hose.

I would advise to change the title/description from "SEi" to "SEiW" (which I think it is after watching the video) to not generate confusion and attract more buyers, as widebodies are usually more desirable. What you have as a roll hoop looks like it would pass. @Smudge62 (Dave's) suggestion of going to Gurston is a really good idea. You will have a much better understanding after that visit. Also attending their School is a great way to further understand what this sport is all about. Hope that helps.
